Lesson 2 (4,5,6)
I. OBJECTIVES
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge
- Ask and answer questions about what someone did in the past, using:
What did you do yesterday? I +verb-ed.
- Listen and number the pictures in the correct order.
- Read and complete the conversations, using the pictures.
- Play the game Pelmanism.

Task 1. Let’s talk
- Tell Ss that they are going to revise what they have learnt in lesson 1 and
lesson 2, using Where were you yesterday? What did they do yesterday?
- Ask S to work in pairs
- Select some pairs to role play in front of the class
Task 2. Listen and number - Tell Ss that they are going to listen to four dialogues about where Linda
was and what she did and number the pictures
- Have them look at the pictures to identify what the character in each
picture is doing .
- Give them time to do the task in pairs
- Get S to swap the answers
Task 3. Look and write
- Tell Ss that they are going to complete the answers to the questions about
where the characters were and what they did
- Give S time to do the task independently
- Get them to swap their answers
Task 6. Let’s play
- Tell Ss that they are going to play the game Pelmanism
- Prepare two sets of cards, one with present activities and the other with
the same activities in past form
- Play in groups: one S selects two cards, if the cards show the same
activities, he will get one point
- The game ends when all the cards are gone
- Call on a group to act out the game in front of the class
Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Retell the content of the lesson.
- Do exercises in the workbook and to prepare for the next new lesson.

Lesson 3 (1,2,3)
I. OBJECTIVES
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge
- Pronounce the final ed in played, watched, and painted.
- Listen and tick the boxes showing the correct sounds of the final ed of the
verbs in the sentences. Then say the sentences aloud.
- Say the chant What did he do yesterday?
- Sentence Patterns: Revision
- Vocabulary: Revision
2. Skills
- Develop Ss listening, speaking and reading skills, do exercises in book.

- Write about themselves, using a writing frame.
- Work in pairs, ask the partner where he / she was, and what he / she did
the weekend before.

- Develop Ss listening, writing, speaking and reading skills.

- Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by playing the game

Task 3. Let’s chant
- Tell pupils that they are going to say the chant. What did he do yesterday?
- Have pupils read the chant and check comprehension.
- Play the recording a few times for pupils to do choral and individual
repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions. - Put the class into two groups to practice chanting and doing actions. Each
of the groups should sing one verse of the chant. Go around offering help, if
necessary.
- Call two pairs to the front of the class to chant and do actions. The rest of
the class claps along to the rhythm.
Task 4. Read and complete
- Tell Ss that they are going to read the text and complete the sentences
- Get them to read the text and incomplete sentences and elicit what words
they need to fill the gaps
- Give Ss time to do the task independently
- Get them to swap the answers
Task 5. Write about you
- Tell Ss that they are going to write a short paragraph about themselves
- Have Ss work in pairs or groups to discuss what they did yesterday
- Give S time to do the task independently
- Get them to swap the answers
Task 6. Project
- Tell S that they are going to do an interview with one of their classmates
about where he/she was and what he/she did last weekend and report to the class
- Ask them work in pairs
- Get some S to report to the class
Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Revise the main teaching prọect of the lesson: where he/she was and
what he/she did last weekend

A. AIMS
By the end of the period, Students will be able to practise and revise the
topic, the language competences, the language knowledge (phonics, vocabulary,
sentence patterns) and the language skill (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
they have learnt from Unit 6 to Unit 10.
Students practice skills: speaking, listening and reading and writing.

B. TEACHING AID
- Teacher’s aids: three pieces of white paper with the phonics, the
vocabulary and the sentence patterns written on them; audio and flashcards.
C. PROCEDURE I.WARM UP
Let’s Ss chant in two groups. Which is more correct is the winner.
II. NEW LESSON
1. Phonics
- Put the piece of paper with the phonics write it on the board and play the
recording all the way through.
- pupils listen to the recording, pointing to the appropriate words on the
board.
- Draw pupils’ attention to difficult sounds such as which, pens, pencils,
break.
- Pupils practice saying the focused words in pairs. Monitor the activity.
- Correct their pronunciation as necessary.
- Call some pair to demonstrate at the front of the class. Have the rest of the
class observe and give comment.
2. Vocabulary
- Put the vocabulary sheet of the paper on the board. Pupils recall the
meaning of the word by reading aloud or playing a game (Pass the word,
Crossword puzzle, Slap the board) using flashcards.
- Pupils read the words aloud again. Encourage them to group the words
into categories: words denoting names, subjects, activities. hobby..
- Have pupils make sentences with some of words they have learnt.
3. Sentence patterns
- Put the sheet of the paper which contains sentence patterns on the board.
Play the recording all the way through. Pupils listen to recording as they follow
the appropriate line on the board. Replay recording for pupils to repeat each line.
- Pupils work in pairs or groups to make dialogues with the appropriate
sentence patterns on the board. Then they rehearse their work.
- Have some pairs demonstrate their work at the front of the class.

- Review from unit 1 to unit 10
- Do exercises in the workbook and to prepare for the next new lesson.
