WEEK 24 Tuesday, March 15th 2022 ST3: 3AT1; ST5: 3BT2 Period: 50 UNIT 17: WHAT TOYS DO YOU LIKE? Lesson 3 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Objectives - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Pronounce the sounds of the letters i-e and i in the words kite and ship respectively. - Listen and fill the gapped sentences with the words kite and ship. - Say the chant: Do you like toys? - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills: - Listening, writing and speaking. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Ss confident in communicate with their friends. - Ss love their toys and keep toys. 4. Forming competence: - Ss know pronounce the sounds of the letters i-e and i - Ss read the chant and clap the hands. B. Language focus * Key terms: - Vocabulary: Revision * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Revision C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh 3: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. STAGE 2: LEARNING EXPERIENCES / LEARNING PLAN * Warm-up - Call 2 pairs to the front of the class and ask and answer the questions Do you have any pets? How many + (word for pet)+do yoy have? Activity 1. Listen and repeat. - Have Ss open their books page 50. - Tell Ss they are going to practice saying the letter, words and sentences in the book. - Produce the sound of the letter i-e in and i - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. Activity 2. Listen and write - Have Ss open their books to page 50. - Get Ss to talk about the way to do the task. - Tell Ss that they are going to listen and write the missing words in dialogues 1 and 2. - Listen and check answer. 1.kite 2. ships - Ask Ss trade their answers within pairs or groups for correction. - Ask 3-4 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class - Listen and give comments. - Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogues. Activity3. Let’s chant Do you like toys? - Ask Ss to look at the chant in their books. - Play the tape and ask Ss to listen. - Play the tape again. - Ask Ss to practice singing in groups. - Call on one group to perform the chant at the front of the class. - Give comments. C. Production - Summary the lesson D. Homework - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern. Thursday, March 17th 2022 ST5: 3AT1; ST6: 3BT2 Period: 51 UNIT 18: WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Lesson 1 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Objectives - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about one's action in progress. - Sentence Patterns: What are you doing? ̶ I’m _____. - Vocabulary: reading, cooking, listening to music, cleaning the floor 2. Skills: - Develop Ss listening and speaking 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Ss help their parents to do housework - Complete the homework before class. 4. Forming competence: - Using language to talk about one’s action in progress. - Practice with their partners. B. Language focus * Key terms: - Vocabulary: reading, cooking, listening to music, cleaning the floor * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: What are you doing? ̶ I’m _____. C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh 3: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. Look, listen and repeat. - Have ss open their book on page 52. - Tell them that they are going to practice asking and answering questions indoor activities. - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the pictures and elicit what the characters are saying. - Use a poster to present the situation. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Call on 2 pairs to perform at the front of the class. - Have whole class repeat each line of the dialogue in chorus. - Introduce new word by using pictures: reading, cooking, listening to music, cleaning the floor. - Ask ss to listen and repeat. - Call ss to read aloud the new words Activity 2. point and say. - Tell ss that they are going to practise saying sentences with: A: What are you doing? B: I’m ... - Ask Ss fill in the speech bubbles. - Ask Ss to repeat. - Ask Ss to practice in pairs asking and answering, using the pictures in Student Book. - Monitor the activity. - Call on a pair to perform. Activity3. Let’s talk - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the pictures. - Elicit the words to fill the gap. - Write the instructions on the board and get ss to repeat them a few times. - Get ss to work in pairs. - Go around the class and help when ss necessary C. Production - Summary the lesson D. Homework - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern.
