WEEK 15 Monday, December 16th 2024 S: 1CT2; 1BT3; 1AT4 Period: 29 Unit 8: In the park Lesson 1: Lesten and repeat, Point and say, Fun corner A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - pronounce the sound of the letter H/h in isolation and in the words hair, hand, head and horse correctly - Sound /H/h/ - Vocabulary: hair, hand, head and horse - Skills: speaking and listening 2. Competences: - Know how to practise some sounds. - Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Play game: Chatting *Aims: to create a friendly and active atmosphere in the class to beginning the lesson. *Procedure: - Ss say: Hello. Remind them of the sound of the letter a in the word hair. Then ask one pupil to point to the hair and to say the word hair in front of the class. The -Ss check pupils who hold the cards with the words containing the sound /g/ (for example: girl, goat, gate, ...) run to the board and show them to the class. Follow the same procedure with -Ss listen other sounds. - Have the class look at the words and announce the winner - Practice more at home. - Prepare for the next lesson. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - say the sound of the letter H/h and the words hair, hands, head and hat in a chant. - recognize the words in different situations when listening. - trace the letter H/h - Vocabulary: review - Skills: speaking, writing and listening. 2. Competences: - Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work. - Know how to practise some sounds. - Know how to chant exactly. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. Then play the recording for them to listen and repeat until they feel confident, -Ss listen and chant saying Listen again and repeat, please! Show pupils how to chant and -Ss chant all the way through clap their hands. - Follow the same procedure with the second verse. Correct pronunciation, if necessary. - Play the recording all the way through. Ask pupils to listen and -Ss chant in front of the class repeat the chant individually and in chorus, saying Listen and repeat, please! Give further support to those pupils who find it difficult to do the task. - Select some pupils to the front of the class to chant and clap their hands. The rest of the class may sing the chant and clap their hands along Activity 2 4. Listen and tick: *Aims: Ss will be able to listen, recognize the words and tick the correct boxes. -Look at the picture and *Procedure: describe. - Have pupils look at the pictures and say what they can see, saying Look at the pictures in Question 1, please! What can you see? Can you see a head and a hand? Yes, a head and a hand. Draw pupils’ attention to the boxes next to the letters a and b. Praise them if they have done well, saying Well done! or You’ve done a good job! - If there is enough time, write the letter H/h in broken lines on the board and invite some pupils to trace them. - Practice more at home. - Prepare for the next lesson. -SS listen.
