Lesson Plan 5 WEEK 30 Monday, April 19th 2021 S: 5AT4; C: 5BT2 Period 117 UNIT 17: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO EAT? Lesson 3: (4,5,6) A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to practice reading and writing about the drinking/eating habits. - Language focus: + Vocabularies: review + Sentence patterns: review - Practice skill: Reading, writing, speaking . - Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures, tape. B. Procedure. I. Warm up. Let’s chant - Have class chant II. Read and do the tasks. - Tell Ss that they are going to read the text and match them with the headings. - Ask Ss look at and read sentences first and then read the text and focus on the information they need to do the task. Ss work in pairs. - Give time to do the task independently. - Have them swap their answers before checking as a class. Key: 1 b 2 c 3 a III. Write about your eating habits. - Tell Ss that they are going to write about their eating habits. Have Ss read the informatons first, then write the answering. - Have them work in pairs to discuss what they are going to write. - Give time to do the task independently. - Have them swap their answers before checking as a class. - Call some Ss to read their writing aloud. Lesson 1: (1,2,3) A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to ask and answer questions about the weather - Language focus: + Vocabularies: snowy, foggy, warm, cool, cold, hot, stormy. forecast + Sentence patterns: What will the weather be like tomorrow? - It will be ... and ... - Practice skill: listening and speaking, Work in pairs/ groups, Discuss. - Resources: Student’s book, poster, pictures and workbook. B. Procedure. I. Warm up. Chatting The class play game: Slap the board, using the words: rainy, sunny, cloudy, windy, weather, sun, cloud.... Then make sentences with the words. II. Look, Listen and repeat. - Tell pupils that they are going to read and listen to a story. - Have Ss to look at four pictures to discuss the context in which the language is used and ask them questions such as: Who are they? Where are they? What are they talking about? - Play the recording a few times for Ss to listen and repeat. Do choral and individual repetition, poiting to the characters speaking. - Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat. - Write model sentence on the board. Look, Listen and repeat. - Tell pupils that they are going to read a story about the seasons and weather. - Have Ss to look at four pictures to discuss the context in which the language is used and ask them questions such as: Who are they?
