Period 125 Unit 19: What animal do you want to see?
Lesson 1: (3,4,5)
A. Aims:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to practice asking and answering
about someone’s desire.
- Develop Ss’ listening and writing skills
* Language focus:
- Sentence Patterns:
- What animal do you want to see?
+ I want to see ..
* Teaching aids:
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.
2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Passing the ball
- What animal do you want to see?
+ I want to see ..
II. New lesson:
1. Listen and match:
- Have pupils look at 3 friends and animals given
- Get sts say aloud one by one
- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 3 dialogues and match the
correct person with animals he/she wants to see
- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and match.
- Compare the answers with the partners.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers.
- T gets the answer:
- Have pupils act out the dialogues in pairs or groups for correction.
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
Answer: 1- b ; 2 - c ; 3 - a
2. Look and write:
- Have pupils look at the animals in 4 pictures
- Ask pupils what they do this part

- Tell them that they are going to write the answers for the questions given
- Have pupils do the task
- Call on a pupil to write on the board and other pupils write in the
notebooks in individuals.
- Have pupils discuss their answers in pairs for correction.
- Have pupils comment the answer on the board.
- Call some pupils read aloud their work in front of the class.
- Have the class chorally read each line.
* Answer key:

2. She wants to see monkeys.
3. They want to see kangaroos.
4. They want to see monkeys.
III. Consolidation:
1. Let’s play:
- Introduce the game “Charades”
- Models for sts understand the way to play it
- Ask pupils what they do this part.
- Have pupils play the game in pairs
- Have the students play the game freely
- Go around to check

Period 126 Unit 19: What animal do you want to see?
Lesson 2: (1,2,3)
A. Aims:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to express reasons.
- Develop speaking skill
* Language focus:
- Sentence Patterns: - I like/ don’t like .. because ..
* Teaching aids:
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.
2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Brainstorming
kind scary
Animals’

II. New lesson:
1. Look, listen and repeat:
- Ask pupils the names of the characters in the dialogue: Linda and Nam
- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen
- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech
bubbles
- Repeat the step a few times
- Some Ss role play and the others comment
- Ask Ss to role play.
- Ask Ss to role play before the class.
- Explain the meaning of the language practised.
I like monkeys because they’re funny.
2. Point and say:
- Ask Sts to look at animals and Characteristics given.
- Play CD for sts listen and repeat all animals and Characteristics
- Read the words and have pupils read in chorus, individuals.

- Ask pupils about what they get information to express the reasons
- Tell them that they are going to give an invitation for other respond
- Have pupils to ask and answer base on the model sentences
- Call on all pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the
class observe and give respond.
3. Let’s talk:
- Ask them to read the questions and uncompleted sentences given:

- I don’t like . because ..
- Model
- Ask pupils work in pairs to ask, answer and express reasons why they like
or not about animals
- Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation
- Call on some sts to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of
the class observe and give comments if possible.

Lesson 2: (4,5,6)
A. Aims:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to further practice expressing
reasons.
- Develop Ss listening, writing skills
* Language focus:
* Teaching aids:
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.
2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up: Asking and answering
- Do you like monkeys? + Yes, I do
- Why do you like them? + Because they’re funny ..
II. New lesson:
1. Listen and write:
- Have pupils look at 4 sentences given
- Get sts read aloud the sentences
- Let them guess the words in the blanks
- Give feedback
- Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and write the
words they hear for each blank.
- Play the recording twice for pupils to listen and write
- Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partner.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers.
- T gives the answer:
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.

- Have pupils look at 4 pictures given
- Elicit the names of animals and their charactistic in each picture
- Ask pupils to say first

- Have pupils trade their answers in pairs for correction.
- Have pupils comment the answer on the board.

- Introduce the song “Why or why not?”
- Play the recording and listen the song.
- Play the recording again for pupils to sing each line of the rhythm.
- Call on a group of four to the front of the class and do the actions.
- The others clap their hands after the song
- Group work. Pupils practise singing and doing the actions in groups.
- Call on one group to perform the song at the front of the class. The rest of
the class sing the song and clap the rhythm.
- Have class sing the song again to reinforce their pronunciation.

Period 128 Unit 19: What animal do you want to see?
Lesson 3: (1,2,3)
A. Aim:
- Ss will be able to master how to say the right stress sounds with words
that have three syllables.
- Ss will be able to chant together
- Develop Ss listening, speaking and chanting skills
* Language focus:
- Vocabulary: revision
* Teaching aids:
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.
2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Retelling the way to stress the nouns and verbs with two syllables
II. New lesson:
1. Listen and repeat:
- Have pupils look at the poster with the content of part 1 (sts’ book – Page
62)
- Tell them they are going to learn how to pronoun the stress
sounds with different wordss that have 3 syllables.
- Play Cd for sts listen and repeat the words and sentences given
- Pronoun the word: ‘crocodile
- Pronoun the word: ‘elephant
- Pronoun the word: ‘wonderful
- Pronoun the word: ‘beautiful
- Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each word and the
sentence to remember the stress.

- Give the notes how to stress rightly with the words with 3 syllables (on
the first sound)
- Have sts give more words to practice
2. Listen and circle. Then say the sentences aloud:
- Have pupils look at sentences and pairs of verbs given.
- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 4 dialogues and circle the
words
- Get sts’ answers
- Give feedback
* Key: 1- b; 2- b; 3-a; 4-b
- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and repeat.
- Play the recording for sts say along
- Have pupils practice saying the 4 sentences aloud
- Call some sts say in front of the class
3. Let’s chant: I want to go to the zoo
- Put the piece of paper with the chant from Page 62 written on it on the
board
- Tell pupils that they are going to chant
- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen as they read.
Clap the syllables.
- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat each line of the chant and
clap the syllables.
- Call on some pupils to perform the chant at the front of the class. The rest
of the class observe and give comments if possible.
III. Consolidation:
- Summary the lesson
- Do exercises E in workbook.
