A. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

relation to the topic “In the city”.

- Skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

- Honesty: tell the truth about feelings and emotions.

C. PROCEDURES:

Game: “Miming”
*Aims: to create a friendly and active
atmosphere in the class to beginning the
lesson.
*Procedure:
- Teacher divides the class into teams.
- One student in each team stands in front of - Ss listen and play the game

- Teacher writes/shows a phrase (stop).

board while their teammate guesses the action

Activity 1. Listen and tick:
*Aims: Ss will be able to listen to and
understand two communicative contexts in

directions and tick the correct pictures.
*Procedure:
- Have Ss look at the pictures and ask
questions to elicit the places and directions to -Look at the pictures and say:

*Procedure:
- Divide class into two teams.
- Have Ss look at the map listen to the teacher,
fid the place and give the directions. - Ss look and listen.
- If a student’s answer is correct, the team gets
one star.
- After 5 minutes, the team that gets the most -Ss play the game
stars wins. - Have Ss in one team give direction, and the
other team listen and find the place. -Ss play the game
*Consolidation
*Aims: Ss will be able consolidate and wrap
up the content of the lesson.
*Procedure:
- T asks ss to answer the following questions:

- draw a map and present it by giving directions in class at Project time.

*Aims: to review the vocabulary and

- Divide class into 4 teams.

Activity 1. Read and tick True or
False:
*Aims: Ss will be able to read and show
the understanding of the text by deciding if
the statements are true or false.
*Procedure:
- Explain that they should read the text
and tick if the Sentences 1- 4 are true or -Ss read and answer
false.
- Do Statement 1 as an example.
+ First, have Ss read Statement 1 and find -Ss pay attention
what the statement is about (It’s about the -Ss read statement 1 and answer
bakery) and where it is (in Nguyen Hue
Street).
+ Then, find the information about the

from their house to at least three different
places.
- Draw a map, mark the directions from
their house to at least three places on the
map, and prepare how to present it at
home.
- Use Nam’s map and his presentation as -Ss listen and pay attention
an example.
- Have Ss work in their groups. Each pupil
shows his / her map and gives the -Ss work in groups to show the map and
directions from their house to three places. give the direction
