WEEK 28 Monday, April 18th 2022 S: 4AT1; 4BT2; 4CT3 Period 71 UNIT 20: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO THIS SUMMER? Lesson 1 (4); Lesson 2 (4); Lesson 3 (5,6) A.Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about where some plans to go. - Read, listen and tick the correct picture showing the missing information in each sentence. - Read and fill the gapped exchanges, using the pictures. - Sing the song You are happy in summer holidays! - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills. - Develop reading, speaking and listening skills. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Live responsibly, love country - Confident in learning and practice situations 4. Forming competence: - Self- study. - Communication and co-operation. B. Language focus * Key terms: Vocabulary: Revision * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Revision C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh4: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. STAGE 2: LEARNING EXPERIENCES / LEARNING PLAN * Warm-up - Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson. Get some pairs of pupils to go to the front of the class to practise Where are you going this summer? I’m going to . Task 1 Listen and tick. - Tell pupils that they are going to listen to three dialogues about the places the characters are going and tick the correct pictures. - Have Ps look at the pictures to identify the three places in Viet Nam and say the names aloud. - Play the recording more than once, if necessary, for pupils to listen to and tick the correct pictures. Tell them that they should focus on the places the characters are going to. - Get pupils to swap their answers before you check as a class. Key: 1. c 2. a 3. b Task 2. Listen and circle. - Tell pupils that they are going to listen to four dialogues about Phong and circle correct pictures. - Have Ps look at the sentences to read the sentences to identify the possible words to fill the gaps. Then have Ps to look at the pictures and guess what Phong is going to do in summer. - Play the recording more than once, if necessary, for pupils to listen to and circle the pictures. - Ask them to focus on what Phong is going to do in summer. Them have them complete the sentences. - Get Ps to swap their answers before you check as a class. Key: 1. a 2. b 3. a 4.a Task 3. Write about the plan for your summer holidays. - Tell Ps that they are going to write a short paragraph about the plan for their summer holidays. They may use Activity 4 to help them. - Have them work in pairs or groups to discuss what are they going to write. Remind them to use the suggested questions in the Ps’ Book. Check comprehension. - Give Ps time to do the task independently. Go around and offer help. - Get them to swap their answers before checking as a class. - If there is time, ask one P to write their paragraph on the board. Key: Ps’ own answers. Task 4. Project. - Tell Ps that they are going to work in pairs and ask their partners about their holiday plans, using the five given questions. They should make notes and then tell the class about their partners’ plans. - If there is not enough time. Ask the Ps to do the interview after class and report the results in the next lesson. - Have Ps to tell about their holiday. C. Production - Retell the content of the lesson. D. Homework - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the structure. Wednsday, April 20th 2022 S: 4AT1; 4BT2; 4CT3 Period 72 REVIEW 4 A.Objectives: - Help students to review all the structure from Unit 16 to Unit 20. Review the words, do exercises in the book. - Develop: 4 skills. - Listen and tick the correct numbers. - Read the paragraph and circle the letters showing the correct words filling the gapped sentences. - Read and match the questions with the answers. - Read the questions and write the answers, using the pictures. - Read and fill the gapped paragraph, using the pictures. - Vocabulary: Unit 16-20 - Sentence patterns: Unit 16-20 - Communicative approach. - Techniques: Ask and answer (say individually);Work in pairs/ groups;Discuss. - Recording, tape and pictures, student’s book , Workbook B. Language focus * Key terms: Vocabulary: Unit 16-20 * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Unit 16-20 C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh4: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. Listen and tick. - Guide Ss to look the pictures, listen and tick. - Check and correct. Task 2. Read and circle - Guide Ss to read the text, circle and complete the sentences. - Check as a class. Task 3. Read and match. - Guide Ss to read and match. - Provide explanation, if necessary. - Check and correct. Task 4. Write the answer - Guide Ss to complete the sentences. - Monitor the activity and offer help if necessry. - Check as a class. Task 5. Look and write. - Guide Ss to look at the pictures and complete the text - Monitor the activity and offer help if necessry. - Check as a class. C. Production - Retell the content of the lesson. D. Homework - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the structure. Friday, April 22th 2022 S: 4BT1; 4CT2; 4AT4 Period 73 SHORT STORY 4 CAT AND MOUSE 4 A. Objectives - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to practice all the knowledge they have learn. - Develop speaking, reading and writing skills. - Ss look after, solve problems and study themselves. - Studious and obedient students and love their friends. - Read and listen to the story. Then correct the words in red. - Work in pairs to read, and put the words in the correct order. Then practise the conversation. - Correct the wrong sentences. (Two are correct.) - Unscramble the words from the story. B. Language focus * Key terms: Review * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Review C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh4: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. STAGE 2: LEARNING EXPERIENCES / LEARNING PLAN * Warm-up - Chatting about what did people do. Activity 1: Read and listen to story - Guide Ss to read the story. - Correction. Activity 2: Work in pairs. Put the words in the correct order. - Guide Ss to put the words in the correct order. - Check and correct. Activity 3: Correct the wrong sentences( two are correct) - Guide Ss to correct the wrong sentences. - Offer the help when necessary. - Correct. Activity 4: Unscramble these words from conversation - Guide Ss to complete the words. - Correct. C. Production - Asking Ps to focus on the structure once again. D. Homework - Retell the content of the lesson. - Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structures
