WEEK 19
Monday, January 18th 2021

Period 73 UNIT 11: WHAT TIME IS IT?
Lesson 2: (1,2,3)
A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to ask and answer
the questions about daily rountines
- Language focus: + Vocabularies: What time do you go to school?
I go to school at seven o’clock
+ Sentence patterns: Have(breakfast, lunch, dinner), get up, at....
- Practice skill: Listening ,speaking
- Resources: Student’s book, pictures, tape
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up.
- Have Ss sing a song on page 7
- Call some Ss to play.
II. Look, Listen and repeat.
- Tell Ss that they are going to learn to ask and answer about daily
rountines.
- Have Ss look at the picture and identify the characters and the context in
which the language is used.
- Play the recording more than once. Ss listen and repeat.
- Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking.
- Write the whole sentences on the board
A: What time do you go to school?
B: I go to school at seven o’clock
- Ss point and read after T , T-Ss, Ss- Ss ( open pairs/ close pairs)
III. Point and say.
- Ask Ss look at the pictures page 8
- Tell Ss that they are going to asking and answering questions about the

time for daily activities.
- Point to each character in the picture and the words to fill the gaps.
- Give vocabulary: get up/ have breakfast/ have diner/go to bed
- Divide the class into two groups to do choral and individal repetition. Ss
repeat the sentences a few times. Repeat the procedure with the second picture.
- Ss work in pairs. Call some pairs practice in front of the class.
- Check Ss’ mistake when necessary.
IV. Let’s talk.
- Tell Ss that they are going to answer the question
- Have Ss work in pairs to practice.
- Call some pairs to talk in front of the class
Ex: A: What time do you go to school?
B: I go to school at seven o’clock
V. Reinforcement.
* Do Exercise
- Have Ss do exercise D of unit 11 in workbook
- T corrects and feedback

Period 74 UNIT 11: WHAT TIME IS IT?
Lesson 2: (4,5,6)
A.Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to write to ask and
answer questions about daily rountines .
- Language focus: + Vocabularies:review
+ Sentence patterns: review
- Practice skill: Listening, writing .playing.
- Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures .
B. Procedure
I. Warm up. * Chatting
- Tell Ss that they are going to answer the question .
- Call some pairs to talk in front of the class
Ex: A: What time do you go to school?
B: I go to school at seven o’clock
II. Listen and draw the time.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen to Tom’s daily routine and draw thw
hard of the clock.
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures and identify what the characters in eache
picture
- Check Ss’ understanding.
- Play the recording for Ss to listen and number the pictures
- Play the recording for Ss to listen and check their anwser.
- Get Ss to swap their answers before you check as a class.
- Ask a few questions to ensure their comprehension for the listening text.
*Answer: b- 7.30 c-8.15 d-8.00 e-9.00
III. Draw and write the time.
- Tell Ss that they are going to draw the time and write about their daily
routines, using the picture cues.

- Ask them to look at pictures to didentify what daily routines and write the
answers the questions about.
- Give them time to do the task independently. Go around and offer help, if
necessary.
- Get them to swap their answers before checking as a class and call some
Ss to read aloud the completed text.
* Key: Ss own answer.
IV. Let’s play. Pass the secret.
- Tell Ss that they are going to play game Pass the secret. Follow the
procedure in Games in introduction.
- Ask them to play small groups.
- Call on some of them to say the answers.
V. Reinforcement.
* Do Exercise.
- Have Ss do exercise E of unit 11 in workbook
- T corrects and feedback
VI. Homelink.

Period 75 UNIT 11: WHAT TIME IS IT?
Lesson 3: (1,2,3)
A.Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to pronounce
correctly the sound of the letters “oo/u/. Listen and read for specific information.
- Language focus: + Phonics: the letter /oo/
+ Vocabularies: Review
+ Sentence patterns: Review
- Practice skill: Listening, writing and speaking chant.
- Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures and tape.
B. Procedures:
I. Warm up: *Network game.
- Have ss play the Network game
- Work in groups to play the game
Play game in 3 groups.
Daily

II. Listen and repeat. * Phonics.
- Student practice how to pronounce the letter “oo”
Ex: oo /u/ : cook, book, noon and school
- Tell Ss that they are going to practise saying the sounds of the letters“oo”
in the words: cook, book, noon and school respectively.
- Put the letters “ oo” on the board.
- Play the recording and ask Ss to repeat a few times.

- Play the recording a few times and let Ss say the words and phrases,
paying attention to the target sounds.
- Do choral and individual repetition of the sounds.
- Call Ss repeat again.
III. Listen and write. Then say aloud.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen to the recording and write the right
words and read the sentences aloud
- Play the recording more than once.
- Give Ss time to write the words in the gaps independently.
- Have them swap their answers before checking as a class.
- Ask Ss to read the sentences aloud.
*Key: 1. book 2. school 3. cook Noon
IV. Let’s chant. What time do you go to school?
- Tell Ss that they are going to say and chant.
- Play the recording for Ss to listen.
- Play the recording again for Ss to repeat each line and clap the syllables.
- Divide the class into two. One group repeats each line of the chant, the
other clap the syllables.Repeat the step but this time the groups swap their parts.
- Call some volunteers to recite the chants. The rest of the class clap the
syllables.
- Ask all the class repeat the chant to reinforce their pronunciation.
V. Reinforcement.
* Do Exercise
- Have Ss do exercise A of unit 11 in workbook
- T corrects and feedback

Lesson 3: (4,5,6)
A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to practice
reading and writing about daily rountines.
- Language focus: + Vocabularies: review
+ Sentence patterns: review
- Practice skill: Reading, writing, speaking .
- Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures, tape.
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up: Let’s chant
- Whose class chant What did he do yesterday?
II. Read and complete.
- Tell Ss that they are going to read the text and complete the sentences
- Get Ss to read the text and focus on the information to complete the
sentences.
- Work in individual.Check and compare the answer with the partner.
- Call on some Ss to report their answers.
- Make a few questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the sentences.
- Have the whole class read each sentence in chorus to reinforce their
pronunciation
*Answer: 1. watered the flowers in the garden
2. played chess with her father
3. watched TV
III. Let’s write.
- Tell Ss that they are going to write a short pargraph about Linda’s daily
routine, using the information from
- Have Ss work in pairs or groups too discuss what they are going to fill the
gaps with.

- Give Ss time to do the task independently.
- Get them swap their writing and call someone to read aloud their answer.
*Answer: She’s has breakfast at six forty-five. She goes to school at seven.
She watches TV at eight thirty. And she goes to bed at nine fifteen.
IV. Project.
- Tell Ss that they are going to do a project about their daily routine.
Explain the task and check understanding.
- Get a pair to do for example. Put the following on the board as example.
- Get Ss time to do the interview their friends, Call on some Ss to report
their answers

V. Reinforcement.

- Have Ss do exercise F of unit 11 in workbook
