WEEK 20 Tuesday, January 25th 2022 S: 3AT1; 3BT2 Period: 42 UNIT 15: DO YOU HAVE ANY TOYS? Lesson 1 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Objectives - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Identify toys. - Pupils can ask and answer questions about whether the other speaker has a toy. - Sentence Patterns: Do you have a ..? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. - Vocabulary: a doll, yes / a car, yes / a robot, no / a puzzle, no 2. Skills: - Develop listening and speaking 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Live responsibly - Confident in learning and practice situations. - Love toys and share your toys. 4. Forming competence: - Co-operation - Using language to talk about toys. B. Language focus * Key terms: - Sentence Patterns: Do you have a ..? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Do you have a ..? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh4: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. * Warm-up - Have ss to say the chant How many desks? Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Have pupils turn to page 30. - Tell them that they are going to talk about the toys they have, using do you have any toys? - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the first picture and elicit what the characters are saying. - Use a poster to present the situation. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Call on 2 pairs to perform at the front of the class. - Have whole class repeat each line of the dialogue in chorus. - Introduce new word by using pictures: a doll, a car, a robot, a puzzle - Ask ss to listen and repeat. - Call ss to read aloud the new words Activity 2. Point and say - Tell ss that they are going to practise saying sentences with: A: Do you have any ..? B: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. - Ask Ss fill in the speech bubbles. - Ask Ss to repeat. - Ask Ss to practice in pairs asking and answering, using the pictures in Student Book. - Monitor the activity. - Call on a pair to perform. Activity3. Let’s talk - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the pictures. - Elicit the words to fill the gap. - Write the instructions on the board and get ss to repeat them a few times. - Get ss to work in pairs. - Go around the class and help when ss necessary. - Summary the lesson - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. C. Production - Summary the lesson - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. D. Homework - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern. Thursday, January 27th 2022 S: 3BT3; 3AT4 Period: 43 UNIT 15: DO YOU HAVE ANY TOYS? Lesson 2 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Objectives - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about whether someone has a toy. - Sentence Patterns: Does he/ she have _____? Yes, he /she does. / No, he / she doesn’t. - Vocabulary: a yo-yo, yes / a ship, yes / a plane, no / a kite, no 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Keep their toys tidy - Love toys and share your toys. 4. Forming competence: - Co-operation - Self-study - Using language to ask and answer questions about toys B. Language focus * Key terms: a yo-yo, yes / a ship, yes / a plane, no / a kite, no * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Does he/ she have _____? Yes, he /she does. / No, he / she doesn’t. C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh3: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. * Warm-up - Have ss play a game of Bingo. - Monitor the activity. Activity 1: Look, Listen and repeat - Have Ss open their books page 32. - Tell ss that they are going to asking and answering questions about someone’s toys. - Draw ss’ attention to the first picture and elicit the name of the character and explain what they say. - Use 2 puppets to present the situation. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Ask ss work in pairs to practice the dialogues. - Teach new words and structures: + a yo yo, a ship, a plane, a kite +Does he/ she have? Yes, he/she does No, she doesn’t. - Monitor the activity. Activity 2: Point and say - Have pupils look at each the picture. - Ask pupils to identify the things. - Use the first picture as an example and put the question and answer on the board. - Have Ss repeat the phrases a few times. - Ask Ss to practice in pairs. - Monitor the activity. - Call on some pairs (4-5 pairs) to perform the task at the front of the class. - Observe and give comments. - Have the whole class repeat all the dialogue. Activity 3: Let’s talk - Have Ss look at the pictures on page 32. - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Point to the first picture and ask Ss to guess what they say. - Ask Ss fill the speech bubbles. - Have Ss repeat the sentences in the bubbles. - Ask ss to work in pairs. - Monitor the activity. - Call a few pairs to the front of the class to act out the dialogue. C. Production - Summary the lesson - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. D. Homework - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern
