STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES
A. Objectives
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Ask and answer questions about the location of things in the house
(singular).
- Sentence Patterns: Where’s the_______? ̶ It’s here / there.
- Vocabulary: poster, bed, chair, picture, coat, ball, here, there
2. Skills:
- Develop Ss listening and speaking
3. Attitudes/ Quality:
- Keep their things tidy
- Confident in learning and practice situations
4. Forming competence:
- Co-operation
- Using language to ask and answer questions about the location of things in
the house (singular).

C. Instructional resources
- Textbook: Tiếng Anh4: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer.
- Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks.
* Warm-up
- Get ss play a game of Bingo using vocabulary learnt.
Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Have pupils turn to page 18.
- Ask pupils to talk about the characters
- Tell them that they are going to practice talking about the location of
things in a room. - Use a poster to present the situation.
- Play the tape.
- Play the tape again.
- Call on 2 pairs to perform at the front of the class.
- Have whole class repeat each line of the dialogue in chorus.
- Introduce new word by using pictures: poster, bed, picture, coat.
- Ask ss to listen and repeat.
- Call ss to read aloud the new words
Activity 2. Point and say
- Tell ss that they are going to practise saying sentences with:
Where’s the .?
It’s here/there.
- Ask Ss fill in the speech bubbles.
- Ask Ss to repeat.
- Ask Ss to practice in pairs asking and answering, using the pictures in
Student Book.
- Monitor the activity.
- Call on a pair to perform.
Activity3. Let’s talk
- Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends.
- Give a few seconds for ss to look at the pictures.
- Elicit the words to fill the gap.
- Write the instructions on the board and get ss to repeat them a few times.
- Get ss to work in pairs.
- Go around the class and help when ss necessary.
C. Production
- Summary the lesson
- Tell pupils to read the part 1 again.
D. Homework

- Guide Ss to do the task.
- Play the tape.

- Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates.
- Replay the tape.
- Have Ss to trade their answer in pairs for correction.

- Have Ss open their books to page 19.
- Tell Ss that they are going to look at the pictures, read the sentences and
complete them.
- Ask Ss look, read individually and complete each sentence.

- Ask 2-3 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class.
