WEEK 18 Tuesday, January 11th 2022 S: 3AT1; 3BT2 Period: 38 UNIT 13: WHERE’S MY BOOK? Lesson 1 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Objectives - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about the location of things in the house (singular). - Sentence Patterns: Where’s the_______? ̶ It’s here / there. - Vocabulary: poster, bed, chair, picture, coat, ball, here, there 2. Skills: - Develop Ss listening and speaking 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Keep their things tidy - Confident in learning and practice situations 4. Forming competence: - Co-operation - Using language to ask and answer questions about the location of things in the house (singular). B. Language focus * Key terms: - Sentence Patterns: Where’s the_______? ̶ It’s here / there. * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Where’s the_______? ̶ It’s here / there. C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh4: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. * Warm-up - Get ss play a game of Bingo using vocabulary learnt. Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Have pupils turn to page 18. - Ask pupils to talk about the characters - Tell them that they are going to practice talking about the location of things in a room. - Use a poster to present the situation. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Call on 2 pairs to perform at the front of the class. - Have whole class repeat each line of the dialogue in chorus. - Introduce new word by using pictures: poster, bed, picture, coat. - Ask ss to listen and repeat. - Call ss to read aloud the new words Activity 2. Point and say - Tell ss that they are going to practise saying sentences with: Where’s the .? It’s here/there. - Ask Ss fill in the speech bubbles. - Ask Ss to repeat. - Ask Ss to practice in pairs asking and answering, using the pictures in Student Book. - Monitor the activity. - Call on a pair to perform. Activity3. Let’s talk - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the pictures. - Elicit the words to fill the gap. - Write the instructions on the board and get ss to repeat them a few times. - Get ss to work in pairs. - Go around the class and help when ss necessary. C. Production - Summary the lesson - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. D. Homework - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern. Thursday, January 13th 2022 S: 3BT3; 3AT4 Period: 39 UNIT 13: WHERE’S MY BOOK? Lesson 2 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Objectives - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about the location of things in the house (singular). - Listen and tick the correct pictures. - Read, and complete the gapped sentences, using the pictures. - Sing the song The poster and the ball. - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills: - Listening, reading and writing. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Work hard - Keep their things tidy 4. Forming competence: - Self-study - Using language to ask and B.
