WEEK 12 Tuesday, November 30th 2021 ST3: 3AT1; ST5: 3BT2 Period: 26 UNIT 8: THIS IS MY PEN Lesson 3 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Objectives - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Pronounce the sounds of the letters r and th in the words ruler and these respectively. - Listen and fill the gapped sentences with the words rulers and these. - Say the chant Look! Look! Look! - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills. - Listening, writing and speaking. 3.Attitude/ Quality: - Love their school, school things - Keep their school things clean and tidy. 4. Forming competence: - Ss pronounce the sounds of the letters r and th - Active participate in groups, ready to help their friends. B. Language focus * Key terms: - Sentence Patterns: Revision * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Revision C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh 3: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. STAGE 2: LEARNING EXPERIENCES / LEARNING PLAN * Warm-up - Get ss play a game of Slap the board, using the vocabulary learnt: pencils, pens, ruler, pencil cases, pencil sharpeners . - Monitor the activity. Activity 1. Listen and repeat. - Have Ss open their books page 56. - Tell Ss that they are going to review phrases of saying ruler and these. - Produce the sound of the letter r in the words ruler and that of the letter th in the word these. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. Activity 2. Listen and write - Have Ss open their books to page 56. - Get Ss to talk about the way to do the task. - Tell Ss that they are going to listen and write the missing words in dialogues 1 and 2. - Listen and check answer. - Ask Ss trade their answers within pairs or groups for correction. - Ask 3-4 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class - Listen and give comments. - Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogues. Activity3. Let’s chant Look! Look! Look! - Ask Ss to look at the chant in their books. - Play the tape and ask Ss to listen. - Play the tape again. - Ask Ss to practice singing in groups. - Call on one group to perform the chant at the front of the class. Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments - Summary the lesson - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern Thursday, December 02st 2021 ST5: 3AT1; ST6: 3BT2 Period: 27 UNIT 9: WHAT COLOUR IS IT? Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about whether the other speaker has a school thing. - Sentence Patterns: Is this / that your ___? ̶ Yes, it is. / ̶ No, it isn’t. - Vocabulary: desk, pencil sharpener, pen, pencil case 2. Skills: - Develop Ss listening and speaking 3. Attitudes/Quality: - Love their school things - To keep their school things clean 4. Forming competence: - Be able identify school things. - Work in pairs B. Language focus * Key terms: Is this / that your ___? ̶ Yes, it is. / ̶ No, it isn’t. * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Is this / that your ___? ̶ Yes, it is. / ̶ No, it isn’t. C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh3: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Unit 7- Lesson1- activity1,2,3, Cards. STAGE 2: LEARNING EXPERIENCES / LEARNING PLAN * Warm-up - Have ss to say the chant Look! Look! Look twice. - Listen and give comments. Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat. - Have pupils look at the pictures on page 58. - Ask pupils to identify the character in the pictures. - Present the situation. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Call on 2 pairs to perform at the front of the class. - Have whole class repeat each line of the dialogue in chorus. Activity 2: Point and say - Tell ss that they are going to practice asking and answering the question Is this/that your + (school thing)? - Have ss look at the pictures on page 58 - Point to picture a. Ask ss to guess what each character should say. - Ask Ss fill in the speech bubbles. - Ask Ss to repeat. - Ask Ss to practice in pairs. - Monitor the activity. Activity 3: Let’s talk - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the pictures. - Elicit the words to fill the gap. - Write the instructions on the board and get ss to repeat them a few times. - Get ss to work in pairs. - Go around the class and help when ss necessary. Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments - Tell ss they are going to play a word game, show how to play it. - Divide the class into teams of 8-10 students, each team is given a piece of paper with one word written on it. - Get ss to play the game. - Monitor the activity. - Summary the lesson - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern. * Comment
