WEEK 9 Monday, November 04th 2024 C: 2CT1; 2AT2; 2BT3 Period: 17 REVIEW 1: PHIL AND SUE Listen and tick, Listen and circle, Write and say A.OBJECTIVES: 1. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: (review) pasta, pizza, popcorn, kitten, bike, kite, sail, sea, sand, rainbow, river, road - Sentence pattern: (review) + The popcorn is yummy. + Is he/she flying a kite? -> Yes, he/she is. / No, he/she isn’t. + Let’s look at the sea! + What can you see? – I can see a rainbow. - Skills: Integrated skills (reading, writing and listening, speaking) 2. Competences: -Correctly identify and pronounce target words and sentence pattern 3. Attitude/ Qualities: - Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Game: Kim’s game *Aims: to help ss review some vocabulary that they learnt. *Procedure: Have ss to look through 4 pictures - SS listen and play about daily routine in 5 seconds. game. Knowledge: - Sound /q/ - Vocabulary: question, square, quiz - Skills: Integrated skills (speaking and listening) 2. Competences: - Correctly pronounce the name of letter Q/q and the sound /q/ in isolation. - Say correctly the words: question, square, quiz 3. Attitude/ Qualities: - Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love classroom, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Game: Guessing game *Aims: to help ss review some vocabulary that they learnt. *Procedure: -Have ss to look through 3 pictures (which is closed). T opens each piece of each picture for ss to guess about the pets and then read aloud name of the food. T checks and have ss read all the words. - Say “Open your book page 23 and look at Unit 5, Lesson 1” Activity 1. 1. Listen and repeat: *Aims: to correctly pronounce the name of letter Q/q and the sound / q / both in isolation and in the words question, square, quiz *Procedure: - SS listen and play - Have ss look at the picture and game. draw ss’ attention to the letter Q/q, the words next to the things and the colour of the letter Q/q -Ask ss to point to the letter Q/q -SS open their book. He/ she must turn whisper it to the second student in the line , and the turn whisper to other students in the line. When the word reaches the last student in the line he/ she should call it out. A correct word scores one point. - Have time for ss to play game. -Count the points for each team and announce the winner. The team with the most points wins - Practice more at home. -Ss listen. - Prepare for the next lesson.
