WEEK 15 Monday, December 16th 2024 C: 2CT1; 2AT2; 2BT3 Period: 29 UNIT 8: IN THE VILLAGE Lesson 1: Listen and repeat, Point and say A.OBJECTIVES: 1. Knowledge: - Sound /v/ - Vocabulary: village, volleyball, van - Skills: speaking and listening 2. Competences: - Correctly pronounce the name of letter V/v and the sound /v/ in isolation. - Say correctly the words: village, volleyball, van 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Game: Guessing game *Aims: to help ss review some vocabulary that they learnt. *Procedure: -Have ss to look through 3 pictures (which is closed). Play then passes to the next student. + If the student does not pronounce the word correctly, all the cards should be placed face down again and turn passes to the next student. - Have time for ss to play game. -Add up how many words cars each team has won .The team with the most word cards wins -Ss listen. - Practice more at home. - Prepare for the next lesson. Knowledge: - Sound /v/ - Vocabulary: review - Sentence pattern: This is a ________ - Skills: speaking and listening 2. Competences: - Correctly pronounce the words village, volleyball, van and say the sentence pattern: This is a ________ in a chant. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love life in the village. B.
