WEEK 9 Monday, Nnovember 04th 2024 S: 1CT2; 1BT3; 1AT4 Period: 17 REVIEW 1: PHIL AND SUE Listen and tick, Colour the apple, the ball, the cat and the dog. Then point and say A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: Revision - Skills: speaking and reading 2. Competences: - Know how to practise some sounds. - Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Sing a song *Aims: to create a friendly and active atmosphere in the class to beginning the lesson. *Procedure: - SS say: Hello. I’m + name. - Greet the class and introduce yourself, saying: Hi. I’m + name. -Ss listen and sing - Have a group of pupils to sing the song in front of the class. The class -Ss open their book. claps hands. - Get pupils to open their books on the page 22 Activity 1. 4. Read and tick: *Aims: Ss will be able to read and tick the correct boxes. *Procedures: -Look at the picture and listen. - Have pupils look at the pictures (saying Look at the pictures, please!) and say what they can see. Draw -Listen and answer pupils’ attention to the boxes next to the letters a and b. Check comprehension. -Ss read and tick - Ask pupils to look at the phrase in each question. Check their comprehension. -Ss work in pair and check - Get pupils to read the phrases and each other’s answer tick the correct boxes, saying Now read and tick the correct pictures, please! Give further support to -Ss say in front of the class those pupils who find it difficult to do the task. -Ss listen - Ask pupils to work in pairs and swap their work, saying Now work in pairs and check each other’s answers. Give pupils time to work. Go around and offer help, if necessary. - Invite some pupils to show what -Look at the picture and they have done. Praise them if they describe. have done well, saying You did very well Activity 2 5. Colour the apple, the ball, the cat and the dog. Then point and say. *Aims: Ss will be able to colour the things/pets, point to them and say the sentence *Procedure: -Point and say the word - Have pupils look at the pictures, incomplete sentences and help them identify the task, saying Colour the -Ss point and say the missing things and pets, point to them and word. say the full sentences, please! -Ss colour the pciture -Ss work in pair -Ss say in front of the class - Have pupils look at the first picture. Ask them to point to the thing and say the word, saying Point to the apple and say “apple”, please! - Ask pupils to identify what -Ss listen. information is missing in the sentences, saying Look at the incomplete sentences and say what information is missing here. Use the first picture (an apple) as the example, point to it and say Hi, I’m____. (e.g. Hi, I’m Hoa.) This is my apple. Check pupils’ comprehension. - Have pupils work individually to colour the pictures. - Get pupils to work in pairs to point to the pictures, look at the sentences and say them - Invite some pupils to point to the pictures and say the sentences in front of the class. - Give feedback and praise. - Practice more at home. - Prepare for the next lesson. Friday, November 08th 2024 C: 1CT1; 1AT2; 1BT3 Period: 18 Unit 5: At the fish and chip shop Lesson 1: Listen and repeat, Point and say, Fun corner A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - pronounce the sound of the letter I/i in isolation and in the words chicken, chips, fish and milk correctly - Sound /I,i/ - Vocabulary: chicken, chips, fish and milk - Skills: speaking and listening. 2. Competences: - Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work. - Know how to practise some sounds. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. Activity 3. *Play Matching game *Aims: Ss will be able to revise the -Ss listen words chicken, chips, fish and milk through the game Matching game *Procedure: - Explain how to play the game, -Ss listen. saying Listen to the teacher and make a word from the flashcards, please! - Divide the class into four groups and give each group a set of flashcards to make one word. - Ask pupils in each group to hold the flashcards, the other pupils in the group observe and help them, if necessary. - Set the time and say one word, e.g. FISH. The group that has F, I, S, H should go to the front of the class, show the cards in the correct order to make the word. Follow the same procedure with other words. - Have the class look at the words and announce the winner - Practice more at home. - Prepare for the next lesson.
