Find and circle. Then say, Let’s play
A. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- identify some learnt words and say them with correct pronunciation.
- imitate the upper case and lower case B/b and C/c, using body positions
- Vocabulary: Review
- Skills: speaking and listening
2. Competences:
- Know how to practise some sounds.
- Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work.
3. Attitude/ Qualities:
-Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or
class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning
English
B. METHODS:
- Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer.
- Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods
by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction.
C. TEACHING AIDS:
- Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector.
- Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things.
D. PROCEDURES:

1.Warm- up
Game: Guessing game
*Aims: to help ss review some
vocabulary that they learnt.
*Procedure:
-Have ss to look through 5 pictures
(which is closed). T opens each piece of - SS listen and play game.

2. Practice

-Have ss look at the pictures and say the
words, saying Look and say, please
-Ask ss to look at the word search, find
and circle the correct words in it
individually. Then say the words -Ss listen and say
-T models with the first word if
necessary -SS do the task
- Have time for ss to do the task.
- T gives feedback
Activity 2 2. Let’s play: Simon says
*Aims: Ss will be able to revise the upper
case and lower case B/b and C/c through
the
game Simon says, using their body
positions -Look at the picture and listen
*Procedure:
- Have pupils look at the pictures.
Explain how the game is played. -Ss listen and play the game
- Model the position of the first letter.
- Have the whole class play the game.
Call one or two pupils to be the observer
of the game. Give out the commands and
monitor pupils to play the game. The
pupils who cannot show the right position
will be out and become the observers.
- Divide the class into two teams. Each
team plays the game. Give stars/points to
the winner.
- T gets feedback. -SS listen.
3. Homework
- Practice more at home.
- Prepare for the next lesson.

Read and tick. Then colour and say, Let’s play
A. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- read the learnt words (book, cup, ball, cat).
- make a short exchange, using the structures “Hi, I’m _____.” and “I have
a _____.”
- Vocabulary: review
- Skills: reading, writing and listening.
2. Competences:
- Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work.
- Know how to practise some sounds.
3. Attitude/ Qualities:
-Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or
class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English
B. METHODS:
- Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer.
- Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods
by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction.

- Have pupils play the game Simon says

- Ask them to open their books on Page

2. Practice
Activity 1. 3. Read and tick. Then colour
and say:
*Aims: Ss will be able to identify the words -Ss listen.
they have learnt and read them aloud.
*Procedure: -Ss listen and tick
- Have pupils read the words in the first
question and have them point to each
picture and say the words (e.g. a. a book, b.
a car). Ask them to tick the correct picture,
saying Tick the correct picture, please!
-Ss listen and colour the correct
- Have them colour the correct picture, e.g. picture
a book, saying Colour the book, please!
Then have them say the words a book.
- Follow the same procedure with Questions
2, 3 and 4. Give further support to those
pupils who find it difficult to do the task. -Ss work in pair
- Get pupils to check their answers in pairs.
-Ss read in front of the class.
Then ask some pairs to give their answers.
Give comments and confirm the correct
answers.
- Call on some pupils to read the words in
front of the class
-Look at the picture and read.
Activity 2 4. Let’s play: A happy circle
*Aims: Ss will be able to revise the
structures “Hi, I’m _____.” and “I have a
_____.
*Procedure:
- Have pupils look at the picture and read
the sentences, saying Look at the picture
and read the sentences, please!
- Explain the rule of the game
- Model the game with one pupil. -Ss listen
- Have pupils play the game in groups of
five or six. Support and give them help,
when necessary. -Ss play the game.
- Ask the whole class to play the game if
the time allows. This time pupils can point
to any pupil they like in class.
- If there is some time left, help pupils to
create a chant with the sentences.
- Then the class will sing the chant and clap -Ss sing and chant
their hands.
3. Homework
- Practice more at home.
- Prepare for the next lesson.
-SS listen.
