WEEK 34 Friday, May 10th 2024 S: 1BT1; 1CT2; 1AT3 Period: 67 SELF - CHECK 5. Find the words I. OBJECTIVES: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Identify some learnt words in uint 9, unit 10, unit 11, unit 12 and say them with correct pronunciation. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Sounds : /o/, /m/, /u/, /l/. - Vocabulary: clocks, locks, mops, pots mango, monkey, mother, mouse bus, running, sun, truck Lucy, lake, leaf, lemons -Sentence patterns: + How many clocks ? -> Two.( asking and answering about quantities.) +That’s a _____. (introducing one thing) + _____’s running. (describing what someone is doing) + Look at _____. (using the imperatives) 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love learning English. 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Comunicative and collaborative competence: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play -Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information -Self studying and self - control competence: remembering, recalling and guessing words/phrases -Creative competence, linguistic competence: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking. II. TEACHING AIDS / MATERIALS: - Pictures, Textbook, computer, projector, pictures, recording III. METHODS: - Communicative language teaching, contextual teaching and learning, total physical response, games activities teaching, Model-Action-Talk, teaching methods by visual, direction method, audiolingual method. IV. PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Activity 1:Warm up: *Aim:help ss to be eager and happy to begin the new lesson. *Procedure: -Show flashcards or the letters o, m, u, l .Have Ss say the letter names and the letter -SS say. sounds. - Stick some flashcards including some pictures of the words from Units 11 and 12 -SS play Slap the board game. on the board. Have Ss play Slap the board in three minutes. Activity 3. Find the words: *Aim: help Ss find some words (bus, lake, leaf, lemons, locks, mouse, pots, sun). *Procedure: - Have Ss look at the letter and the cross word puzzle. Have ss to read each word -SS look and say. - Ask ss to find the words:bus, lake, leaf, lemons, locks, mouse, pots, sun. - T call some ss to show their answer. -Encourage some Ss to point to the letter and say the words in front of the class - T gets feedback *Outcome:find some words (bus, lake, leaf, lemons, locks, mouse, pots, sun) -SS do the task Activity 5. Consolidation - Asking Ps to focus on sounds and -SS show their answer. vocabulary again. Activity 6.Homelink Practice more at home. -SS listen. - Prepare new lesson. -SS listen and take note.
