WEEK 33 Friday, April 26th 2024 C: 1CT1; 1AT2; 1BT3 Period: 65 SELF - CHECK 3. Listen and tick or scross I. OBJECTIVES: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Identify some learnt words in uint 9, unit 10, unit 11, unit 12 and say them with correct pronunciation. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Sounds : /o/, /m/, /u/, /l/. - Vocabulary: clocks, locks, mops, pots mango, monkey, mother, mouse bus, running, sun, truck Lucy, lake, leaf, lemons -Sentence patterns: + How many clocks ? -> Two.( asking and answering about quantities.) + That’s a _____. (introducing one thing) + _____’s running. (describing what someone is doing) + Look at _____. (using the imperatives) 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love learning English. 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Comunicative and collaborative competence: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play -Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information -Self studying and self - control competence: remembering, recalling and guessing words/phrases -Creative competence, linguistic competence: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking. II. TEACHING AIDS / MATERIALS: - Pictures, Textbook, computer, projector, pictures, recording III. METHODS: - Communicative language teaching, contextual teaching and learning, total physical response, games activities teaching, Model-Action-Talk, teaching methods by visual, direction method, audiolingual method. IV. PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Activity 1:Warm up: *Aim:help ss to be eager and happy to begin the new lesson. *Procedure: *Revising the sounds and words - Show flashcards or the letters o, m, u, l - SS say letter o, m, u, l. Have Ss say the letter names and the letter sounds. - Stick some flashcards including some -SS play Slap the board game. pictures of the words from Units 11 and 12 on the board. Have Ss play Slap the board in three minutes. Activity 4. Listen and tick or cross: *Aim: help Ss listen and tick or cross some words correctly ( bell, fish, hair, pencil). *Procedure: -Have Ss look at thepictures and say what they can -SS look and listen. see. Draw Ss’ attention to pictures. Check comprehension. -Encourage some Ss to point to the pictures and say -SS point and say. the words in front of the class - Play the recording for Ss to listen and tick or - Ss listen and tick or cross. cross. - Let ss to listen again and check - Ss listen and check. - T gets feedback *Key: 1.
