Lesson 2: Listen and chant, Listen and tick, Look and trace
A. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- say the sound of the letter O/o and the words clocks, locks, mops and pots
in a chant.
- recognize the words in different situations when listening.
- trace the letter O/o and complete the words m__ps, p__ts, l__cks, cl__cks.
- Vocabulary: review
- Skills: speaking, writing and listening.
2. Competences:
- Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work.
- Know how to practise some sounds.
- Know how to chant exactly.
3. Attitude/ Qualities:
-Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class.

B. METHODS:
- Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer.
- Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by
visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction.
C. TEACHING AIDS:
- Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector.
- Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things.
D. PROCEDURES:

*Aims: to help ss remember the words that
they have learn in lesson 1.
*Procedure:
- Have pupils play Slap the board again, - Ss listen and play the game
saying Play Slap the board, please! Draw

Lesson 1. You may add more words to the
game, such as mouse, monkey, milk, -SS open their book.
- Get pupils to open their books and look
at Lesson 2.
Activity 1. 3. Listen and chant
*Aims: Ss will be able to say the sound of
the letter O/o, the words locks, clocks,
mops, pots in a chant.
*Procedure:
- Have pupils look at the chant. Say Look
at the chant, please! Ask them to pay
attention to the letter O/o, the words locks
and clocks, and the sentences ”There are -Ss look at the chant and
two locks.” and ”There are three clocks.” answer

- Let them look at the first verse of the
chant. Play the recording of the first verse
for pupils to listen and to get familiarized -Ss listen and chant the first

A. OBJECTIVES:

- use the exchange “How many _____?” - “_____.” to ask and answer questions
about the quantity of things (from two to five).
- sing a song focusing on the structure “There are _____.
- Vocabulary: ball, bike, book.
- Skills: speaking and listening

- Know how to sing exactly.
- Know how to practise some sounds.
- Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work.

pictures, asking and answering the questions
individually and then in pairs.
- If time allows, invite some pairs to point to -Point to the clocks and say
the pictures and act out the exchanges in
front of the class.
Activity 3. 8. Let’s sing -Ss answer the question How
