WEEK 16 Friday, December 22th 2023 S: 1BT1; 1CT2; 1AT3 Period: 31 FUN TIME 2 2. Let’s play! I. OBJECTIVES: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Use It’s a red _____ to introduce a thing. - Sing a song with the structures I have a ___./ He has a ___ - . It’s red. It’s a red _____. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: pen, pencil, bell, red . - Sound: /e/ -Sentence pattern: I have a ___./ He has a ___. It’s red. It’s a red _____. 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love something in the classroom. 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Comunicative and collaborative competence: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play -Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information -Self studying and self - control competence: remembering, recalling and guessing words/phrases -Creative competence, linguistic competence: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking. II. TEACHING AIDS / MATERIALS: - Pictures, Textbook, computer, projector, pictures, recording III. METHODS: - Communicative language teaching, contextual teaching and learning, total physical response, games activities teaching, Model-Action-Talk, teaching methods by visual, direction method, audiolingual method. IV. PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Activity 1:Warm up: *Aim:help ss to be eager and happy to begin the new lesson. *Procedure: - Have a few pupil to point to the picture on Poster of Unit 6 and say the sentences, e.g. I - SS point and say. have a red ___. Activity 2. Let’s play. Air drawing. 14’ *Aim: help Ss identify the letters i and e and the sounds /i/ and /e/. *Procedure: -Have Ss work in two big groups (A and B). - Look at the picture and listen. Have them look at the picture. Tell them that you will draw one letter in the air with your finger. The first pupil of each team that correctly identifies what you have drawn scores a point. -SS model. -Ss play game. -Model the first time with the Ss so that they can understand how to play. -Have the whole class play the game several times before they compete. -Divide the class into two teams. Call one or two Ss to be the observers of the game. Use all the letters Ss have learnt (I and E), both -SS say. upper and lower case. Remember to give points to the winner of each round Count the points and praise the winner. -Have all Ss say the letter names and the letter sounds one more time. -SS listen. *Outcome: Identify the letters i and e and the sounds /i/ and /e/. Activity 3.Consolidation -SS listen and take note. - Asking Ps to focus on sounds and vocabulary again. Activity 4. Homelink Practice more at home. - Prepare new lesson. OBJECTIVES: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: -Write the letters they have learnt to complete the words. -Say the words (chips, milk, pen, pencil ) they have learnt. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Sounds /i/ (letter i) and /e/ (letter e) - Vocabulary: chicken, chips, fish, milk, bell, pen, pencil and red. 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love learning English 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Comunicative and collaborative competence: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play -Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information -Self studying and self - control competence: remembering, recalling and guessing words/phrases -Creative competence, linguistic competence: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking.
