IEW: Act. 1: Singing: Play the music (Let‘s chant, let’s sing/ p. 14) Ask Ss to listen to the music and sing the song Act. 2: Review the old sentences in Unit 1. Use TC 1-8 and say: What’s this? à Ss: It’s (a pencil). PRESENTATION: Act. 1: Introduce the singular forms of the words. Introduce 2 new words, using real classroom objects: T (hold a pencil case): a pencil case. T (point to a cassette): a cassette Have Ss practice more on classroom objects Act. 2: Introduce the plural forms of the words. Give out TC 34 and say: a pencil case. Then give out TC 40 and say: Pencil cases. Do the same with cassette(s), using TC 35, 41 Stick TC 34, 35 and 40, 41 on the board. Ask Ss to write the words in their notebooks and then practise speaking the words Act. 3: Introduce the question and answer pattern. Use the puppets to teach the sentences. Puppet A:(point to the card 41 ) What are these? à Puppet B: They are cassettes. Ask a student as puppet A, T as puppet B. Then change the role Divide the class into 2 groups, practise the sentences. Let‘s chant, let’s sing Real fruits WARM-UP AND REVIEW: Re-ordering and singing: Divide the class into 3 groups. Give each group 4 cards. Ask them to re-order the cards to make the name of the song. The first to find out the answer go to the board and write the name of the song. The last have to sing the song. PRESENTATION: Act. 1: Re-present the song: Ask Ss to sit in 4 groups and give each group 3 sentences below Ask them to make a song( 1 sentence can be used several times) Peaches, Apples, and Plums What do you want?
