PREPARATIONS: Book, cassette tape III. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1. Warm – Up: (5’) - Have Ss draw a mind map about “Weather forecast” 2. Pre- Listening: (10’) - Introduce new words: + minus (n) + centigrade (n) + degree (n) + snowy (adj) + humid (adj) - Ask Ss to practice new words. - Call some Ss to practice in front. - Check vocabulary: “Rub out and remember” - Have Ss guess True/ False statements. a. It will be very cold in Sydney today. b. A low temperature in Tokyo will be 32oC. c. London will be hot. d. A high temperature in Bangkok will be 32oC. e. It will be windy and cloudy in New York. f. Paris is going to have a humid today. - Get feedback. 3. While- Listening: (15’) - Play the tape for Ss 2 times, and check True/ Fasle. - Play the tape for Ss again, and fill in the gaps with missing information. - Call some Ss to read the answer. 1.
