Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to find some information about language game, get some knowledge about Wonders of the world. II. PREPARATIONS: Book, cassette tape III. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1. Warm – Up: (5’) - Have students play game “Guessing Pictures” - Give some pictures of the world heritages in Viet Nam. 2. Presentation: (10’) - Have students match the names of these famous world landmarks to the correct pictures. -Call some students to write them on the board. * Keys a) The Pyramids b) Sydney Opera house c) Stonehenge -Have students listen and answer the questions. a) What is the name of the game in the tape? b) How to play it? -Call some students to give the answers in front of the class. -Have students listen again and correct. a) It’s Guessing Game. b) SS think of a famous place or person. Remember students only ask Yes or No questions and the word-keeper only says “Yes” if the answer is right or “No” if the answer is wrong. The student who finds the place or the person the most quickly will be the winner. 3. Practice: (15’) -Have students practice the dialogue in groups. Then change the roles. -Call some groups to read the dialogue in front of the class. - Have students read the conversation again and complete the summary. Homework: (2’) - Complete the answer. - Prepare next lesson: Unit 14–Speak and Listen/p. 132, 133. - Group works. -Work in groups. - Write them on the board. -Answer the questions. - Give the answers in front of the class. - Listen again and correct. -Practice in groups. - Read the dialogue in front of the class. - Complete the summary. - Cross-check. - Give the answers in front of the class. - Play game.
