B.Procedure:
I. presentation:
1. Warm up: Greetings.
Have students sing the songs “This is my friend” and “The family song”
2. Vocabulary:
a. Shuffle Teacher Cards 33-44 (classroom objects) to mix the singular and plural forms. Quickly show the cards to the class and have them identify the objects. Make sure the students sound the s on the plural words. For memory practice, you can quickly show three cards in sequence and have students recall the words in proper sequence.
b. Opposites. Line up Teacher Cards 61-68 (adjectives) on the chalk to marker rail. Point to a card and identify it, and then have students call out the opposite adjective.
c. Family Members. Have students form small groups. Using their family photos and drawing, student introduces and describe their family members to the group. S: this is my mother. She’s tall. Students who do not have their own pictures can use the family shown on page 31 of the Student Book.
3. Structures:
a. Place Student Cards 33-44 (classroom objects) facedown on a desk or a table in front of the class. Call on students to turn over a card. Ask What is this? or What are these? The student then identifies the object (s) by saying It’s a (crayon). Or they are (cassettes).
b. Divide the class into three teams. Students in Team A come to the front and stand side-by-side in a row. Point to the first student on Team A. A student from Team B must ask Who is she/he? A student from Team C must answer (He’s) my friend, (John). A correct question and answer earns a team one point. Rotate teams two more times so that both Teams A and C ask questions.
