OBJECTIVES: Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to read a text about Minh and his friends’ plans on the weekend, use “be going to” to write their own plans, review vocabulary about food and drink. II. PREPARATIONS: book, cassette tape III. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm - up: (5’) - Have Ss answer question: What are you going to do tonight? a + I’m going to do my homework. + I’m going to watch TV. 2. Presentation: (8’) - Explain new words: + (to) bring (v) + camera (n) + (to) take a photo (v) - Have Ss practice new words. - Set the scene: Minh and his friends are going to have a picnic. - Review structure: to talk about plan What is / are + S + going to do? ] S + is/ are going to ………….. 3. Practice: (20’) - Have Ss ask and answer in pair about Minh and his friends. - Call some Ss to practice in front of class. - Have Ss look at part 6/p.145: Vui and her friends are planning camping vacation. Production: (10’) - Let Ss listen to the tape and check their predictions Vui: a tent, some food Lan: a ball Ly: a camera Mai & Nga: some drink - Get feedback. 5. Homework: (2’) - Ask Ss to write their own activities they are going to do on vacation.
