A.Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know the keys of the
test, correct, mark it out probically and the way of doing exercises. – To get
feedback from students.
*Teaching aids: Students: Notebook, pen and their test
B. Procedure.

Period 106 UNIT 16: WHERE THE POST OFFICE?
Lesson 1: (1,2,3)
A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to ask and answer
questions about about directions.
- Language focus: + Vocabularies: bus stop, post office, theatre, museum,
stadium, on the corner, between, opposite, next to,...
+ Sentence patterns: Excuse me, where’s the ...? It’s ...
- Practice skill: listening and speaking, Work in pairs/ groups, Discuss.
- Resources: Student’s book, poster, pictures and workbook.
B. Procedure.
I. Warm up. Sing a song
- The class listen and sing to Where will you be? Song.
II. Look, Listen and repeat.
- Tell pupils that they are going to readand listen to a story.
- Have Ss to look at four pictures to discuss the context in which the
language is used and ask them questions such as: Who are they? Where are
they?What are they talking about?
- Play the recording a few times for Ss to listen and repeat. Do choral and
individual repetition, poiting to the characters speaking.
- Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat.
- Write model sentence on the board.
A: Excuse me, where’s the park?
B: It’s at the end of the street.
- Ss listen and repeat again. (T – Ss , Ss –T, Ss – Ss ,open pairs – close
pairs)
III. Point and say.
- Tell pupils that they are going to practise asking and answering questions
about directions.
- Have Ss look at the pictures to understand how the language is used.
- Teach some vocabulary: bus stop, post office, theatre, museum, stadium,
on the corner, between, opposite, next to,...

- Ask Ss to listen and repeat more times the phrases chorally and
individually. Repeat the same produce with the rest of pictures.
- Ss work in pairs. Call some pairs practice in front of the class.
- Check Ss’ mistake when necessary.
- Write the questions and answer on the board and Ss to repeat again.
Ex: A: Excuse me, where’s the ..?
B: It’s ..
IV. Let’s talk.
- Tell Ss that they are going to practise further by asking and answering
questions about directions.
- Get them to work in groups of four and remind them to use the questions
and answers in this section. Ss do choral and individual repetition.
- Call on a few pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class. Correct
pronunciation, if necessary.
- T writes them on the board.
- Ask students read again, Call some students read aloud.
Ex: A: Excuse me, where’s the ..?
B: It’s next to/ opposite . ..
It’s on the corner of ..
It’s between ..and .
V. Reinforcement.
* Do Exercise :
- Have Ss do exercise part B of unit 16 in workbook
- T corrects and feedback

Period 107 UNIT 16: WHERE THE POST OFFICE?
Lesson1: (4,5,6)
A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to ask and
answer questions about directions.
- Language focus: + Vocabularies: review
+ Sentence patterns: review
- Practice skill: Listening, writing and singing.
- Resources: Student’s book, pictures and recording
B. Procedure.
I. Warm up. Chatting
- T asks Ss answer
Ex: A: Excuse me, where’s the park?
B: It’s at the end of the street.
- Review vocabulary and introduce new lessons
II. Listen and tick.
- Tell pupils that they are going to listen to and tick the boxes.
- Have pupils look at pictures to identify the names of characters. Check
their understanding.
- Play the recording 3 times for Ss listen, do the task and check their
answers.
- Get Ss to swap their answers before checking as a class.
- Give feedback.
Key: The museum: next to the stadium.
The supermarket: Go along the street and turn left
The bus stop: opposite the pharmacy.
The post office: between the supermarket and the cinema
III. Look, read and complete. Use one words/phrases twice.
- Tell pupils that they are going to look at a map and fill the gapped
sentences

- Have pupils look at pictures to identify the names of characters. Check
their understanding.
- Give them time to do the task independently.Go around and offer help, if
necessary.
- Get them to swap their answers before checking as a class.
- Call some Ss to read aloud the complete sentences.

IV. Let’s sing.
- Tell Ss that they are going to sing: Where the bus stop?
- Get Ss to read line of the lyrics. Play the recording all the way through.
- Ask Ss to do choral and individual repetition of the song line by line.
- Ask a group of four to the front of the class to sing the song.
- Have the class sing the song again and clap their hands to reinforce the
activity.

- Resources: Student’s book, pictures, tape
B. Procedure.
I. Warm up: Sing a song
- The class sing Where’s the bus stop?
II. Look, Listen and repeat.
- Tell pupils that they are going to read a story.
- Have Ss to look at four pictures to discuss the context in which the
language is used
and ask them questions such as: Who are they? What are they talking
about?
- Play the recording a few times for Ss to listen and repeat. Do choral and
individual repetition, poiting to the characters speaking. Ask a few pairs to role-
play the conversation.
- Write model sentence on the board.
