Lesson Plan 5 WEEK 26 Monday, March 22th 2021 S: 5AT4; C: 5BT2 Period 101 REVIEW 3 A. Objectives: - By the end of the period, Students will be able to listen, read and identify specific information related to the theme Me and my school. Use simple sentences to write about themsheves. Read, listen and understand a short story. -Language focus: + Vocabularies: review Unit 11-15 + Sentence patterns: review Unit 11-15 -Practice skill: reading, writing, speaking. -Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures, tape. B. Procedure: I. Warm up: * Sing some songs - Have Ss review some songs. - Ss sing II. Practice. 1. Listen and tick. - Tell Ss that they are going to listen and tick the correct boxes a,b or c of the pictures. Give them a few seconds to look at the pictures. Elicit the name of the characters. - Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen. Play it again for them to do the task. - Ask Ss to exchange their answers with their partners before reporting them to the class. - Correct, remark. - Play the recording again to Ss repeat follow *Key: 1.b 2.c 2. Listen and number. - Tell Ss that they are going to listen to four dialogues and number the correct pictures. Show Ss how to number the boxes. - Ask Ss to look at the pictures and identify each activity. Check understanding. Give time to do the task independently. - Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen to. Read and complete. - Tell Ss that they are going to read a text and complete the table. Give them time to read the questions and answers in silence. - Ask Ss look at at the question first and then read the text and focus on the information they need to do the task. Ss work in pairs. - Have them swap their answers before checking as a class. - Ask Ss to read the question and answer aloud. Key: 1/ pilot 2/ wants to fly planes 3/ read books 4/ would you like to write stories for children 5/ draws pictures. 5. Write about you. - Tell Ss that they are going to write sentences about themselves. Give them time to read the questions in silence. Objectives: - By the end of the period, Students will be able to read, listen and understand a short story Cat and Mouse 3 - Language focus: + Vocabularies: run, metres + Sentence patterns:review - Practice skill: reading, writing, speaking. - Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures, tape. B. Procedure: I. Warm up: * Sing some songs - Have Ss sing II. Practice 1. Read and listen to the story. - Tell Ss that they are going to read and listen to the story. - Before Ss listen, ask them to look at the picture and ask them questions to remind them of the old characters and introduce the new character - Ask them to read the story in silence. Play the tape and let the Ss listen.. - Give some new words: run, metres, 2. Answer the questions. - Tell Ss that they are going to read the story against. - Have Ss work in pair. Ask Ss give their answers in pairs for the correction. - Call on some Ss to report their answers. - T corrects and feedback * Key: 1. Unscramble these words from story. - Tell Ss that they are going to put the letters in the correct order to make words, and that they can find the words in story.
