test, correct, mark it out probically and the way of doing exercises. – To get
feedback from students.

Period 106 UNIT 16: LET’S GO TO THE BOOKSHOP
Lesson 1: (1,2,3)
A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to make
suggestion and response to a suggestion to go some where.
- Language focus: + Vocabularies: bookshop, supermarket, post office,
cinema, zoo, toys shop.
+ Sentence patterns: Let’s go to the bookshop. I want to buy some books.
Great idea/ I’m sorry. I’m busy.
- Practice skill: listening and speaking
- Resources: Student’s book, tape, pictures...
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
- Have Ss play the game: Net work
- Play game in 3 groups. Ss look at some pictures of public places.
Ss say the names of them.

1. Look, Listen and repeat.
- Tell Ss that they are going to look at the four pictures and read the story,
then making suggestion to go somewhere and response to suggestion.
- Ask Ss to look at four pictures to identify the characters and discuss the
context in which the language is used. Ask Ss some question Who are they?
Where are they? What are they doing? .
- Play the recording more than once to listen and repeat. Do choral and
individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking.
- Call some pairs to read the conversation.
- Write the whole sentences on the board
A: Let’s go to the bookshop. I want to buy some books.
B: Great idea! / I’m sorry. I’m busy.
- Ss point and read after T , T-Ss, Ss- Ss (open pairs/ close pairs)
2. Point and say.

- Tell Ss that they are going to practice making suggestion to go somewhere
and response to suggestion. Point to each character in the picture and elicit the
words to fill the gaps.
- Teacher vocabulary: bookshop, supermarket, post office, cinema, zoo,
toys shop
- Write the whole sentences on the board. Divide the class into two groups
to do choral and individal repetition. Ss repeat the sentences a few times. Repeat
the procedure with the second picture.
- Ss work in pairs. Call some pairs practice in front of the class.
- Check Ss’ mistake when necessary.

B: Great idea! / I’m sorry. I’m busy.
3. Let’s talk.
- Tell Ss that they are going to practise asking and answering more
activities
- Get them to work in groups of four and remind them to use the questions
and answers in this section. Ss do choral and individual repetition.
- Call on a few pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class. Correct
pronunciation, if necessary.
Ex: A: Let’s go to the bookshop.I want to buy some books.
B: Great idea.

Period 107 UNIT 16: LET’S GO TO THE BOOKSHOP
Lesson 1: (4,5,6)
A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to asking for and
giving reasons for going somewhere.
- Language focus: + Vocabularies: see a film, swimming pool.....
+ Sentence patterns: Why do you want to go to the .....? -
Because I want .....
- Practice skill: Listening ,speaking
- Resources: Student’s book, pictures, tape
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up: Sing
- Have Ss sing a song Let’s go
- Call some Ss to sing.
1. Look, Listen and repeat.
- Tell Ss that they are going to learn to ask for and give a reason.
- Have Ss look at the picture and identify the characters and the context in
which the language is used.
- Play the recording more than once. Ss listen and repeat.

suggestion and responsing to a suggestion to go some where, Asking for and
giving reasons for going somewhere.
- Language focus: + Vocabularies: review
+ Sentence patterns: review
- Practice skill: Listening, writing .playing.
- Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures .
B. Procedure
I. Warm up. * Chatting
- Tell Ss that they are going to answer the question .
- Call some pairs to talk in front of the class
Ex: A: Let’s go to the bookshop.
B: Great idea..
A: Why do you want to go to the bookshop?
B: Because I want to buy some books.
1. Listen and circle.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen to four dialouges and circle the correct
words.
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures and identify what the characters in eache
picture
- Check Ss’ understanding. Play the recording for Ss to listen and number
the pictures
- Play the recording for Ss to listen and check their anwser.
- Get Ss to swap their answers before you check as a class.
- Ask a few questions to ensure their comprehension for the listening text.
*Answer: 1. a 2.c 3. b 4.c
2. Look and write.
- Tell Ss that they are going to write answers to the questions, using the
picture cues.
- Ask them to look at pictures and sentences to find the suitable words to
fill.

- Give them time to do the task independently. Go around and offer help, if
necessary.
- Get them to swap their answers before checking as a class and call some
Ss to read aloud the completed text.

- Tell Ss that they are going to play game.
- Ask them to play small groups.
- Call on some of them to say the answers
