Period 85 UNIT 13: Would you like some milk?
Lesson 2: (1,2,3)
A.Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to write to ask and
answer questions about Offering someone food or drink and accepting or
declining someone’s offer
- Language focus: + Vocabularies:review
+ Sentence patterns: review
- Practice skill: Listening, writing .playing.
- Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures .
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up: Sing the song “My favourite food and drink”
II. New lesson:
1. Look, listen and repeat:
- Ask pupils the names of the characters and where they are: Linda, Mai
and her mother.
- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen
- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech
bubbles.
- Repeat the step a few times.
- Some Ss role play and the others comment.
- Ask Ss to role play.
- Ask Ss to role play before the class.
- Explain the meaning of the language practised.
- Would you like some noodles?
+ Yes, please.
2. Point and say:
- Ask Sts to look at the pictures given.
- Play CD for sts listen and repeat all the names of food and drink given
- Read the words and have pupils read in chorus, individuals.
- Explain the pattern:
- Would you like some noodles?
+ Yes, please
- Ask pupils about what they get information to say.

- Tell them that they are going to offer and give answer
- Have pupils to ask and answer using the model sentences
- Call on all pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the
class observe and give respond.
3. Let’s talk:
- Ask them to read the questions given:
- Would you like some noodles?
+ Yes, please./ No,thanks.
- Model
- Ask pupils work in pairs to ask and answer the 2 questions given.
- Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation (stress, assimilation of
sounds and intonation), and offer help when necessary.
- Call on some sts to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of
the class observe and give comments if possible.
4. Consolidation:

B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:

II. New lesson:
1. Listen and number:
- Have pupils look at the pictures a, b, c, d at page 21 of the Student Book.
- Get sts the names of food and drink in 4 pictures
- Let them guess order
- Give feedback
- Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and
number the jobs and places they hear to the pictures.
- Play the recording twice for pupils to listen and number.
- Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partner.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers.

- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.

- Have pupils look at the menu.

- Have pupils comment the answer on the board.

Period 87 UNIT 13: Would you like some milk?
Lesson 3: (1,2,3)
A.Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to pronounce
correctly the sound of the letters “ sh ” and “f”. Listen and read for specific
information.
- Language focus: + Phonics: the letter /sh/, /f/
+ Vocabularies: Review
+ Sentence patterns: Review
- Practice skill: Listening, writing and speaking chant.
- Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures and tape.
B. Procedures:
I. Warm up: Wrting
- Have sts come to the board and write the word with /f/ and /sh/ letters
II. New lesson:
1. Listen and repeat:
- Have pupils look at the poster with the content of part 1 (sts’ book – Page
22)
- Tell them they are going to learn how to pronoun the sound /f/
and /sh/ with different words.
- Produce the sound /f/ in beef, leaf, sound /sh/ in fish and dish a few
times. Ask pupils to say what they think about when they hear the
sound.
- Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each line in the
speech bubbles to reinforce their pronunciation.
- Give the notes how to pronoun /f/ and /sh/ in different words
2. Listen and tick. Then write and say aloud:
- Have pupils look and read the uncompleted sentences given.
- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 4 sentences and tick the
words they hear to fill in the gaps.
- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and repeat.

- Compare the answers with the partner.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. T gives the answer:

- Have pupils practice reading the whole sentences
3. Let’s chant: Would you like some fish?
- Put the piece of paper with the chant from Page 22 written on it on the
board.
- Tell pupils that they are going to chant.
- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen as they read.
Clap the syllables.
- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat each line of the chant and
clap the syllables.
- Call on some pupils to perform the chant at the front of the class. The rest
of the class observe and give comments if possible.
III. Consolidation:

- Do exercises E in workbook.

1. Recite the chant: Would you like some fish?
2. Write some kinds of food and drink
II. New lesson:
1. Read and complete:
- Have pupils open their books at Page 23
- Show a photo Linda.
- Tell pupils that they are going to read the passage about Linda’s
and her brother’s favourite food and drink to get the information.
- T reads – sts repeat.
- Pupils read the passage individually
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.
- Ask sts get information from the passage to complete the table
- Sts do the task in pairs
- Get sts’ answer
- Give feedback

5. Write about your favourite food and drink:
- Have pupils answer the following questions:

- Call some pupils read aloud their work in front of the class.

6. Project:
Interview your classmates about their favourite food and drink
