Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to ask and answer the questions about the time. - Language focus: + Vocabularies: time + Sentence patterns: What time is it? - It’s seven o’clock - Practice skill: listening and speaking - Resources: Student’s book, tape, pictures... B. Procedure: I. Warm up: - Review number from one to sixty II. Look, Listen and repeat. - Tell Ss that they are going to find out about how to ask and answer questions about the time. - Ask Ss to look at four pictures to identify the characters and discuss the context in which the language is used. Ask Ss some question Who are they? Where are they? What are they doing? . - Play the recording more than once to listen and repeat. Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking. - Call some pairs to read the conversation. - Write the whole sentences on the board A: What time is it? Procedure: I. Warm up: * Chatting Ex: What time is it? B: It’s seven o’clock - T asks Ss say aloud. II. Listen and tick. - Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the dialogue about times and tick correct pictures - Have pupils look at pictures to identify the time and differences and listen and check understanding. - Play the recording more than once, if necessary, for Ss to listen to and tickthe correct pictures. - Get Ss to swap their answers before you check as class. *Key: 1b 2 b 3a III. Look and write. - Tell Ss that they are going to answer the questions about the times with the picture cues. - Ask Ss to look at the pictures and the questions and answer the missing words they need to complete the answers.
