Period 65 UNIT 10: WHERE WERE YOU YESTERDAY ?
Lesson 3: (4,5,6)
A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to practice
reading and writing about what people did.
- Language focus: + Vocabularies: review
+ Sentence patterns: review
- Practice skill: Reading, writing, speaking .
- Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures, tape.
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up: Let’s chant
- Whose class chant What did he do yesterday?
II. Read and complete.
- Tell Ss that they are going to read the text and complete the sentences
- Get Ss to read the text and focus on the information to complete the
sentences.
- Work in individual.Check and compare the answer with the partner.
- Call on some Ss to report their answers.
- Make a few questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the sentences.
- Have the whole class read each sentence in chorus to reinforce their
pronunciation
*Answer: 1. watered the flowers in the garden
2. played chess with her father

III. Write about you.
- Tell Ss that they are going to write some sentences about themselves,
Using the information from
- Have Ss work in pairs or groups too discuss what they are going to fill the
gaps with.

- Get them swap their writing and call someone to read aloud their answer.

IV. Project.
- Tell Ss that they are going to do a project. Explain the task and check

- Get a pair to do for example. Put the following on the board as example.
- Get Ss time to do the interview their friends, Call on some Ss to report
their answers

A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to perform their
abilities in listening, speaking and writing related to the topics from units 6-10,
using the phonics, vocabulary and sentence patterns they have learnt.
- Language focus: + Vocabularies:review
+ Sentence patterns: review.
- Practice skill: Reading, Writing.
- Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures, tape and workbook.
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up: * Net work game.
- Have Ss find the words and put in to the right group

II. Practice:
1. Listen and tick.
- Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the dialogue about where
someone were and tick correct pictures
- Have pupils look at pictures to identify the similarities and differences
and listen and check understanding.
- Play the recording more than once, if necessary, for Ss to listen to and
tickthe correct pictures.
- Get Ss to swap their answers before you check as class.
* Answers: 1 – c; 2- b; 3 – a; 4 – b.
2. Read and circle.
- Tell Ss that they are going to read the text and circle the correct answers.
- Get Ss to read the text and focus on the information to complete the
sentences.
- Work in individual.Check and compare the answer with the partner.
- Call on some Ss to report their answers.
- Make a few questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the sentences.
- Have the whole class read each sentence in chorus to reinforce their
pronunciation

- Make a few questions to check pupils’ comprehension of the sentences.

- Chatting about what did people do.
II. Practice:
1. Read and listen to the story
- Tell pupils that they are going to read and listen to the story.
- Have Ss to role play among the class.
- Read in groups. Others give comments
2. Complete the conversation
- Tell pupils that they are going to read the dialogue and complete.Give Ss
a few seconds to read the text in silence. Check them
- Get them to swap their answers before checking as a class.
- Call some Ss to read aloud the complete sentences
