Lesson Plan 4 WEEK 17 Monday, January 04th 2020 S: 4AT2; 4BT3 Period 65 UNIT 10: WHERE WERE YOU YESTERDAY ? Lesson 3: (4,5,6) A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to practice reading and writing about what people did. - Language focus: + Vocabularies: review + Sentence patterns: review - Practice skill: Reading, writing, speaking . - Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures, tape. B. Procedure: I. Warm up: Let’s chant - Whose class chant What did he do yesterday? II. Read and complete. - Tell Ss that they are going to read the text and complete the sentences - Get Ss to read the text and focus on the information to complete the sentences. - Work in individual.Check and compare the answer with the partner. - Call on some Ss to report their answers. - Make a few questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the sentences. - Have the whole class read each sentence in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation *Answer: 1. watered the flowers in the garden 2. played chess with her father 3. watched TV III. Write about you. - Tell Ss that they are going to write some sentences about themselves, Using the information from - Have Ss work in pairs or groups too discuss what they are going to fill the gaps with. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to perform their abilities in listening, speaking and writing related to the topics from units 6-10, using the phonics, vocabulary and sentence patterns they have learnt. - Language focus: + Vocabularies:review + Sentence patterns: review. - Practice skill: Reading, Writing. - Resources: Student’s book, posters, pictures, tape and workbook. B. Procedure: I. Warm up: * Net work game. - Have Ss find the words and put in to the right group Words expressing frequency Adjectives of appearance II. Practice: 1. Listen and tick. - Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the dialogue about where someone were and tick correct pictures - Have pupils look at pictures to identify the similarities and differences and listen and check understanding. - Play the recording more than once, if necessary, for Ss to listen to and tickthe correct pictures. - Get Ss to swap their answers before you check as class. * Answers: 1 – c; 2- b; 3 – a; 4 – b. 2. B. Procedure: I. Warm up: * Chatting - Review some song from unit 6 to unit 10 - T asks Ss sing - Chatting about what did people do. II. Practice: 1. Read and listen to the story - Tell pupils that they are going to read and listen to the story. - Have Ss to role play among the class. - Read in groups. Others give comments 2. Complete the conversation - Tell pupils that they are going to read the dialogue and complete.Give Ss a few seconds to read the text in silence.
