WEEK 9 Tuesday, November 9th 2021 S: 3AT1; 3BT2 Period: 20 UNIT 6: STAND UP! Lesson 3 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Objectives - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge - Pronounce the sounds of the letters c and d in the words come and down respectively. - Pronounce the letters c in come, and d in down. - Listen and fill the gapped sentences with the words come and down. - Say the chant Come and sit down. - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills. - Listening, writing and speaking. 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Ss confident in communicate with their friends. - Ss love English, friends and teacher. 4. Forming competence: - Ss pronounce the sounds of the letters c and d - Active participate in groups, ready to help their friends. B. Language focus * Key terms: - Sentence Patterns: Revision * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh4: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Unit 6- Lesson3- activity1,2,3, Cards. * Warm-up - Call a group of ss to the front of the class to do the dialogue in Lesson 2, Exercise 6. - Give comments. Activity 1. Listen and repeat - Have Ss open their books page 44. - Tell Ss that they are going to practice saying the letters, words and sentences in the book. - Put the phonics letters c and d on the board and say them a few times. - Prompt ss to say the words and sentences, paying attention to the target phonics letters. Activity 2. Listen and write - Have Ss open their books to page 44. - Ask ss that they are going to do a dictation. - Tell Ss that they are going to listen and write the missing words in dialogues 1 and 2. - Ask Ss trade their answers within pairs or groups for correction. - Ask 3-4 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class - Listen and give comments. - Check answer. - Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogues. Activity3. Let’s sing Come in and sit down - Ask Ss to look at the song in their books. - Play the tape and ask Ss to listen. - Play the tape again. - Ask Ss to practice singing in groups. - Call on one group to perform the song at the front of the class. Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments - Summary the lesson - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern. Thursday, November 11th 2021 S: 3BT3; 3AT4 Period: 21 UNIT 7: THAT’S MY SCHOOL Lesson 1 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Attitude/ Quality: - Love their school - To keep their school clean 4. Forming competence: - To know some school facilities - Active participate in groups, ready to help their friends. B. Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat. - Tell ss they are going to talk about the school and the school facilities, using That’s + (school facilities).. - Have pupils look at the pictures on page 46. - Ask pupils to identify the character in the pictures. - Present the situation. - Explain what the characters say and the meaning of the new vocabulary - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Call on 2 pairs to perform at the front of the class. - Have whole class repeat each line of the dialogue in chorus. Activity 2: Point and say. - Tell ss that they are going to practice saying That is + (school facilities). - Point each instruction and check comprehension. - Recall the new words. - Demonstrate the actions: That’s the gym. - Have ss act out each instructions a few times. - Get ss to work in pairs, take turn to say and act out the instruction. - Monitor the activity. Activity 3: Let’s talk - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the pictures. - Elicit the words to fill the gap. - Write the instructions on the board and get ss to repeat them a few times. - Get ss to work in pairs. - Go around the class and help when ss necessary. Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments - Ask Ss walk around the class to ask and give permission. - Monitor the activity. - Summary the lesson - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern. * Comment
