Lesson (4, 5, 6)
I. OBJECTIVES
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge
- Practise asking and answering questions about pets.
- Listen and tick the correct pictures.
- Read and complete the gapped paragraph, using the picture.
- Read and write the answers to the questions.
- Sentence Patterns: Revision
- Vocabulary: Revision
2. Skills.
- Listening, reading and writing.
3. Attitudes/ Quality
- Ss confident in communicate with their friends.
- Ss love their pets.
4. Forming competence
- Using knowledge to do exercise.
- Be self-conscious complete the exercises.
II. LANGUAGE FOCUS
* Key terms: Review
* Key grammatical structures
- Sentence: Review
- Textbook: Tiếng Anh3: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors,
computer.
- Audio track: Review- Cards.
* Warm-up: - Greeting.
- Have the class play a game of Slap the board, using the words for pets
learnt in the last lesson.
Task 2: Listen and tick
- Have pupils look at the pictures on page 41.
- Ask pupils to identify pets.
- Guide Ss to do the task.
- Play the tape.
- Play the tape again.
- Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates.
- Replay the tape.
- Have Ss to trade their answer in pairs for correction.

Task 2: Read and write.
- Have Ss open their book page 43. - Tell Ss that they are going to read the text and write the correct words.
- Give an example.
- Ask ss to read and do the task.
- Monitor the activity
- Have Ss trade their answer in pair for correction.
- Call on some Ss to report their answers.
- Listen and give comments.
- Have the whole class read each sentence in chorus.
Task 3: Read and write.
- Tell ss that they are going to look at the picture and read the text in
silence.
- Give a few seconds for ss to read the text in silence.
- Call a student to do the first question as an example.
- Give ss time to do the task.
- Go around offering help, if necessary.
- Check answers:
1. 8 years old
2. she does
3. a dog, two goldfish and two parrots
4. at the door
5.in the fish tank
Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Summary the lesson
- Tell pupils to read the part 1 again.
- Remind students to do exercises in the workbook and to prepare for the
next new lesson.

- Ss confident in communicate with their friends.
- Ss love their pets and protect pets.
4. Forming competence
- Ss know using language to write about their pets.

- Listen and give comments.
- Give correct answers:

- Have the whole class read each sentence in chorus.
Task 4: Play game
- Tell ss that they are going to copy and colour a favorite toy and pet they
like.
- Ask ss to give a presentation of their work to the class.
Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments

- Tell pupils to read the part 1 again.
- Remind students to do exercises in the workbook and to prepare for the
next new lesson.
