2. Skills.
- Listening and speaking.

- Ss help their parents to do housework.
- Complete the homework before class.
- Know your place or your hometown.
4. Forming competence:
- Ss know ask and answer the question about the weather in different
places.

* Warm-up
- Have 2 pairs ask and answer the Where’s (place)?

- Monitor the activity.
Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Have Ss open their books page 66.
- Tell ss that they are going to practice talking about distance, using
Is+(place)+near+(place)? - Draw ss’ attention to the first picture and elicit the name of the character
and explain what they say.
- Use 2 puppets to present the situation.
- Play the tape.
- Play the tape again.
- Ask ss work in pairs to practice the dialogues.
- Teach new structures:
+Is near Hue?
Yes, .
No, It’s far from Hue.
- Monitor the activity.
Activity 2. Point and say
- Have pupils look at each the picture.
- Ask pupils to identify places.
- Use the first picture as an example and put the question and answer on the
board.
- Have Ss repeat the phrases a few times.
- Ask Ss to practice in pairs.
- Monitor the activity.
- Call on some pairs (4-5 pairs) to perform the task at the front of the class.
- Observe and give comments.
- Have the whole class repeat all the dialogue.
Activity3. Let’s talk
- Have Ss look at the pictures on page 66.
- Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends.
- Point to the first picture and ask Ss to guess what they say.
- Ask Ss fill the speech bubbles.
- Have Ss repeat the sentences in the bubbles.
- Ask ss to work in pairs.
- Monitor the activity.
- Call a few pairs to the front of the class to act out the dialogue.

- Tell pupils to read the part 1 again.

- Listen and fill the gapped sentences with the words far and north.
- Say the chant Where’s Ba Vi?

- Vocabulary: Revision

- Listening and speaking.
3. Attitudes/ Quality:
- Ss confident perform the chant.
- Ss love their hometown, and country.
4. Forming competence:
- Ss know pronounce the sounds of the letters ar and or
- Ss know read and clap the hands with music.
- Active participate in group.

- Tell Ss that they are going to review phrases of saying far and north. - Produce the sound of the letter ar in the words far and that of the letter o in the
word north.
- Play the tape.
- Play the tape again.
Activity 2. Listen and write
- Have Ss open their books to page 68.
- Get Ss to talk about the way to do the task.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen and write the missing words in dialogues 1
and 2.
- Listen and check answer.

- Ask 3-4 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class
- Listen and give comments.
- Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogues.
Activity3. Let’s chant

- Play the tape and ask Ss to listen.
- Play the tape again.
- Ask Ss to practice singing in groups.
- Call on one group to perform the chant at the front of the class.
