WEEK 22 Tuesday, February15th 2022 ST3: 3AT1; ST5: 3BT2 Period: 46 UNIT 16: DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? Lesson 1 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Objectives - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about whether the other speaker has any pets. - Sentence Patterns: Do you have any ______? ̶ Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. - Vocabulary: cats, yes / parrots, yes / rabbits, no / goldfish, no 2. Skills: - Develop listening and speaking 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Ss confident in communicate with their friends. - Ss love their pets. 4. Forming competence: - Ss know ask and answer question about pets. - Practice with their friends. B. Language focus * Key terms: - Vocabulary: cats, yes / parrots, yes / rabbits, no / goldfish, no * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Do you have any ______? ̶ Yes, I do. / No, I don’t C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh 3: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. STAGE 2: LEARNING EXPERIENCES / LEARNING PLAN * Warm-up - Have ss to sing the song Linda has a little doll and say the chant Do you have a doll? Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Have pupils turn to page 40. - Tell them that they are going to talk about the toys they have, using do you have any pets? - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the first picture and elicit what the characters are saying. - Use a poster to present the situation. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Call on 2 pairs to perform at the front of the class. - Have whole class repeat each line of the dialogue in chorus. - Introduce new word by using pictures: cats, parrots, rabbits, goldfish - Ask ss to listen and repeat. - Call ss to read aloud the new words Activity 2. point and say. - Tell ss that they are going to practise saying sentences with: A: Do you have any ..? B: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. - Ask Ss fill in the speech bubbles. - Ask Ss to repeat. - Ask Ss to practice in pairs asking and answering, using the pictures in Student Book. A: Do you have any ..? - Monitor the activity. - Call on a pair to perform. Activity3. Let’s talk - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the pictures. - Elicit the words to fill the gap. - Write the instructions on the board and get ss to repeat them a few times. - Get ss to work in pairs. - Go around the class and help when ss necessary. C. Production - Summary the lesson D. Homework - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern. Thursday, February 17th 2022 ST5: 3AT1; ST6: 3BT2 Period: 47 UNIT 16: DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? Lesson 2 (1,2,3) STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. Objectives - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Practise asking and answering questions about pets. - Listen and tick the correct pictures. - Read and complete the gapped paragraph, using the picture. - Read and write the answers to the questions. - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills. - Listening, reading and writing. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Ss confident in communicate with their friends. - Ss love their pets. 4. Forming competence: - Using knowledge to do exercise. - Be self-conscious complete the exercises. B. Language focus * Key terms: - Vocabulary: Revision * Key grammatical structures - Sentence Patterns: Revision C. Instructional resources - Textbook: Tiếng Anh 3: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer. - Audio track: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. Look, listen and repeat. - Have Ss open their books page 40. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Ask ss work in pairs to practice the dialogues. - Monitor the activity. Activity 2. point and say. - Have pupils look at the pictures on page 41. - Ask pupils to identify pets. - Guide Ss to do the task. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - Replay the tape. - Have Ss to trade their answer in pairs for correction. _key: 1.b 2.a 3.b Activity3. Let’s talk - Have Ss open their books to page 41. - Tell Ss that they are going to look at the pictures, read the sentences and complete them. - Ask Ss look, read individually and complete each sentence. - Ask Ss trade their answers within pairs or groups for correction. - Ask 2-3 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class. - Key: 1. dog 2. cats 3. birds 4.goldfish - Listen and give comments. - Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogue.
