- Textbook: Tiếng Anh4: Student’s book, CDs player, projectors, computer.

* Warm-up
- Review the previous lesson by singing the This is the way we go to school
song.
- Call a group of four to the front of the class to sing the song and do the
actions while others clap along.
- Give comments. Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Have Ss open their books page 48.
- Tell ss that they are going to ask and answer the question Is the + (school
facility) + (adjective)?
- Draw ss’ attention to the first picture and elicit the names of the
characters, school facilities.
- Explain what they say.
- Use 2 puppets to present the situation.
- Play the tape.
- Play the tape again.
- Ask ss work in pairs to practice the dialogues.
- Monitor the activity.
Activity 2. Point and say
- Have pupils look at each the picture.
- Ask pupils to identify the school facilities in the pictures.
- Use the first picture as an example and put the question and answer on the
board.
- Have Ss repeat the phrases a few times.
- Ask Ss to practice in pairs.
- Monitor the activity.
- Call on some pairs (4-5 pairs) to perform the task at the front of the class.
- Observe and give comments.
- Have the whole class repeat all the dialogue.
Activity3. Let’s talk
- Have Ss look at the pictures on page 48.
- Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends.
- Point to the first picture and ask Ss to guess what they say.
- Ask Ss fill the speech bubbles.
- Have Ss repeat the sentences in the bubbles.
- Ask ss to work in pairs.
- Monitor the activity.
- Call a few pairs to the front of the class to act out the dialogue.
Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Ask Ss walk around the class to ask and answer the question Is the+ ?
- Monitor the activity.
- Summary the lesson
- Tell pupils to read the part 1 again.
- Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern. Thursday, November 18th 2021

- Pronounce the sounds of the letters g and l in the words gym and look
respectively.
- Listen and fill the gapped sentences with the words gym and look.
- Say the chant Is your school new?

- Vocabulary: Revision

3. Attitude/ Quality:
- Ss confident in communicate with their friends.
- Ss love school, friends and teacher.
4. Forming competence:
- Ss pronounce the sounds of the letters g and l
- Active participate in groups, ready to help their friends.

* Warm-up
- Get ss play a game of Slap the board, using the vocabulary learnt.
- Monitor the activity.
Activity 1: Listen and repeat. - Have Ss open their books page 50.
- Tell Ss that they are going to review phrases of saying gym and look.
- Produce the sound of the letter g in the word gym and that of the letter l in
the word look.
- Play the tape.
- Play the tape again.
Activity 2: Listen and write
- Have Ss open their books to page 50.
- Get Ss to talk about the way to do the task.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen and write the missing words in
dialogues 1 and 2.
- Listen and check answer.
- Ask Ss trade their answers within pairs or groups for correction.
- Ask 3-4 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class
- Listen and give comments.
- Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogues.
Activity 3: Let’s chant
Is your school new?
- Ask Ss to look at the chant in their books.
- Play the tape and ask Ss to listen.
- Play the tape again.
- Ask Ss to practice singing in groups.
- Call on one group to perform the chant at the front of the class.
Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Summary the lesson
- Tell pupils to read the part 1 again.
- Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern
