WEEK 19 Monday, January 13th 2024 C: 2CT1; 2AT2; 2BT3 Period: 37 UNIT 9: IN THE GROCERY STORE Lesson 2: Listen and chant, Listen and tick, Look and write A. OBJECTIVES: 1. Knowledge: - Sound /y/ - Vocabulary: review - Sentence pattern: Can you see the ________? Skills: speaking and listening 2. Competences: - Correctly pronounce the words yams, yogurt, yo-yos and say the sentence pattern: Can you see the ________? in a chant. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love food, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Check-up: *Aims: to help ss remember the words that they have learn in lesson 1. *Procedure:: -T asks ss to say the letter and the sound they learnt in lesson 1(Y/ y, /y/) - SS say the letter and the Say “Open your book page 41 and look sound. at lesson 2” -SS open their book. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: review - Sentence pattern: What do you want? – I want some yams. - Skills: speaking and listening 2. Competences: - Use: What do you want? – I want some yams. to ask and answer questions about what someone wants to buy in a grocery store. - Sing a song about the grocery store 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C.
