WEEK 12 Monday, November 25th 2024 C: 2CT1; 2AT2; 2BT3 Period: 23 UNIT 6: ON THE FARM Lesson 3: Listen and repeat, Let’s talk, Let’s sing A.OBJECTIVES: 1. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: review - Sentence pattern: Is there a fox?-> Yes, there is./ No, there isn’t. - Skills: Integrated skills (speaking and listening) 2. Competences: - Use: Is there a fox? -> Yes, there is./ No, there isn’t. to identify someone’s favourite things or animals. - Sing a song about farm 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love life on the farm. B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Game: Slap the board *Aims: to help ss review some vocabulary that they learnt. *Procedure:: -Write the words on the board - SS listen and play game. - Call 2 Ss to go to the board and ask them to slap the word when T says one word aloud. -SS open their book. - After finishing the game, the student slaps more correct words will be the winner. - Say “Open your book page 28 and look at lesson 3” Activity 1. 6. Competences: - Correctly pronounce and spell the words: square, fox, quiz, box, rainbow, road, sail, ox, question. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love playing games. B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Game: Guessing game *Aims: to help ss review some vocabulary that they learnt. *Procedure: -Have ss to look through 4 pictures (which is closed). T - SS listen and play game. opens each piece of each picture for ss to guess about the pets and then read aloud name of the food. -SS open their book. T checks and have ss read all the words. - Say “Open your book page 29 and look at Fun time 1 – Part 1, 2” Activity 1. 1. Rearrange the letters to make words. Then say: *Aims: to correctly pronounce the words : square, fox, quiz, box *Procedure: -Look at the picture and say. -Have Ss look at the pictures and say the words -Ask Ss to look at the pictures and the letters, then rearrange the letters to make words. -T models with the first word if necessary. Give further support to those Ss who find it difficult to do the task. - Have time for ss to do the task. -After the Ss find the correct -SS listen. words and pronounce them, organize a short game. Have them continue this activity until they cross out the words in a row or column. Follow the same Procedure: with the rest. -Have the whole class play the game. Call fice first ss to be the winners of the game and praise them. Ask ss to say the words in their bingo grid. -Show flashcards and have ss to say the words again. - Practice more at home. -Ss listen. - Prepare for the next lesson.
