WEEK 7 Monday, October 21th 2024 S: 1CT2; 1BT3; 1AT4 Period: 13 Unit 4: In the bedroom Lesson 2:Listen and chant, Listen and tick, Look and trace A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - say the sound of the letter D/d and the words desk, dog, door, duck in a chant. - recognize the words in different situations when listening. - trace the letter D/d - Vocabulary: review - Skills: speaking, writing and listening. 2. Competences: - Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work. - Know how to practise some sounds. - Know how to chant exactly. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. Praise them if they have done well, saying Well done! or You’ve done a good job! - If there is enough time, write the letter D/d in broken lines on the board and invite some pupils to trace them. - Practice more at home. - Prepare for the next lesson. Friday, October 25th 2024 C: 1CT1; 1AT2; 1BT3 Period: 14 Unit 4: In the bedroom Lesson 3: Listen and repeat, Let’s talk, Let’s sing A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - use “This is a _____.” to introduce something. - sing a song with the structures “This is a _____. It’s on/near the _____.” - Vocabulary: Revision - Skills: speaking and listening 2. Competences: - Know how to sing exactly. - Know how to practise some sounds. - Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. Let’s sing *Aims: Ss will be able to sing a song with the structure “I have a _____.” *Procedure: -Ss look and listen. - Have pupils look at the song and ask them to pay attention to the letter D/d and the word duck. - Play the recording of the first line for pupils to listen and to get -Ss listen and sing the first line familiarized with the tune. - Play the recording again, ask pupils -Ss listen, sing the first line to listen and repeat the first line. Then play the recording for them to listen and repeat until they feel -Ss listen, sing the other lines confident. and clap their hands - Follow the same procedure with the other lines. Show pupils how to -Ss listen and sing all the song chant and clap their hands. - Play the recording all the way through. Ask pupils to listen and -Ss sing in front of the class repeat the song individually and in chorus. - Select some pupils to the front of the class to sing and clap their hands. - If they sing the song well, praise them, saying Well done! or Very good. - Practice more at home. - Prepare for the next lesson. -Ss listen.
