Write and say, Let’s play
A. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- identify some learnt words bell, pen, pencil, red, chips and fish.
- say the words bell, pen, pencil, red, chips and fish correctly.
- identify the letters they have learnt (I/i, E/e).
- read the learnt words (chips, pen, pencil, milk)
- Vocabulary: review
- Skills: reading, writing and listening.
2. Competences:
- Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work.
- Know how to practise some sounds.
3. Attitude/ Qualities:
-Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class.
Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students,love learning English
B. METHODS:
- Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer.
- Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by
visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction.
C. TEACHING AIDS:
- Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector.
- Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things.
D. PROCEDURES:

puzzle. Ask them to identify the missing
letters.
- Explain how to do the activity. Pupils fill in
each space in the puzzle with a letter to make a
complete word. Say Look at the puzzle and
pictures around. Fill a letter to complete each -Ss listen.

around to offer help if needed. Give further
support to those pupils who find it difficult to
do the task.
- Get pupils to check their answers in pairs.
Then ask some pairs to give their answers.

correct answers.

Activity 2 4. Let’s play: Slap the board
*Aims: Ss will be able to revise the words they
have learnt in Units 5 and 6
*Procedure:
- Ask pupils how to play this game. If they do
not know, explain the rules again.
- Stick the pictures of the words from Unit 5
and Unit 6 on the board.
- Have pupils stand in two lines in front of the
board. Read out the words in English one by
-Ss listen
one.
- Let pupils take turns to slap on the right -Ss look and listen
picture. The group which can slap more words
is the winner.
- Elicit all the words used in this game from -Ss read the word
pupils. Have them practise saying the words
-Ss play the game
- Practice more at home.
-Ss say the words
- Prepare for the next lesson.

garden, girl, goat and gate correctly
- Sound /G, g/
- Vocabulary: garden, girl, goat and gate
- Skills: speaking and listening.
2. Competences:
- Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work.
- Know how to practise some sounds.
3. Attitude/ Qualities:
-Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class.

correctly they can keep the word card.
+ If they have a “Bang card”, they have
to yell “Bang!” and then return all their -Ss play game.

- Divide pupils into two or four groups.
