WEEK 13 Monday, December 02th 2024 S: 1CT2; 1BT3; 1AT4 Period: 25 Fun time 2 Write and say, Let’s play A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - identify some learnt words bell, pen, pencil, red, chips and fish. - say the words bell, pen, pencil, red, chips and fish correctly. - identify the letters they have learnt (I/i, E/e). - read the learnt words (chips, pen, pencil, milk) - Vocabulary: review - Skills: reading, writing and listening. 2. Competences: - Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work. - Know how to practise some sounds. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students,love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Check up *Aims: to create a friendly and active -Ss say the word atmosphere in the class to beginning the lesson. *Procedure: -Have pupils play a vocabulary game on - Ss listen and play the game - Ask pupils to say out loud all of the words -Ss open their book. they have learnt and played with. Activity 1. 3. Write and say: *Aims: Ss will be able to write the correct letters, revise some learnt words (chips, pencil, pen, milk). *Procedure: - Have pupils look at the pictures around the puzzle. Ask them to identify the missing letters. - Explain how to do the activity. Pupils fill in each space in the puzzle with a letter to make a complete word. Say Look at the puzzle and pictures around. Fill a letter to complete each -Ss listen. word, please! - Have pupils do the activity individually. Go -Ss listen and tick around to offer help if needed. Give further support to those pupils who find it difficult to do the task. - Get pupils to check their answers in pairs. Then ask some pairs to give their answers. Point at each blank and pupils read aloud the -Ss listen and do the task letter needed. Give comments and confirm the correct answers. Call on some pupils to say the words in front of the class. -Ss work in pair KEY: -Ss say in front of the class. Activity 2 4. Let’s play: Slap the board *Aims: Ss will be able to revise the words they have learnt in Units 5 and 6 *Procedure: - Ask pupils how to play this game. If they do not know, explain the rules again. - Stick the pictures of the words from Unit 5 and Unit 6 on the board. - Have pupils stand in two lines in front of the board. Read out the words in English one by -Ss listen one. - Let pupils take turns to slap on the right -Ss look and listen picture. The group which can slap more words is the winner. - Elicit all the words used in this game from -Ss read the word pupils. Have them practise saying the words -Ss play the game - Practice more at home. -Ss say the words - Prepare for the next lesson. -Ss listen Friday, December 06th 2024 C: 1CT1; 1AT2; 1BT3 Period: 26 Unit 7: In the garden Lesson 1: Lesten and repeat, Point and say, Fun corner A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - pronounce the sound of the letter G/g in isolation and in the words garden, girl, goat and gate correctly - Sound /G, g/ - Vocabulary: garden, girl, goat and gate - Skills: speaking and listening. 2. Competences: - Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work. - Know how to practise some sounds. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Sing a song *Aims: to create a friendly and active atmosphere in the class to beginning the lesson. *Procedure: -Ss sing and do action -Ask pupils to greet and introduce themselves. - Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by asking the class to sing the song -Ss open their book. in Unit 6, Lesson 3 and clap their hands, saying Let’s sing a song, please! - Have pupils open their books, saying Open the books, please! and look at Unit 7, Lesson 1, saying Look at Unit 7, Lesson 1, please Activity 1. 1. Listen and repeat: -Look at the picture and listen. *Aims: Ss will be able to pronounce the sound of the letter G/g in isolation and in the words garden, gate, girl and goat correctly. *Procedure: - Have pupils look at the picture, saying Look at the picture, please! Describe the picture. - Have them listen to the recording and -Point, listen and repeat. repeat the sound of the letter G/g -Ss listen and repeat. - Have pupils point to the girl and/or -SS listen, point and repeat. the word girl listen to the recording and repeat the word girl -SS say in front of the class. - Follow the same procedure with the garden, gate, goat. Activity 3. *Play BANG *Aims: Ss will be able to practise pronunciation skill. -Ss look and listen. *Procedure: - Tell pupils how the game is played, saying This game is played with two or four groups. + Have pupils take turns picking the cards and if they read the word correctly they can keep the word card. + If they have a “Bang card”, they have to yell “Bang!” and then return all their -Ss play game. cards (except the Bang card) to the box. + If they have “Give a half card”, they will give back a half of the cards they got. + The team has the most cards will be the winner. Check comprehension. - Divide pupils into two or four groups. - The first player of each group picks a card from the box and read the word. Then, it’s the next player’s turn. - The players continue picking cards and reading words until there are not any cards in the box. - Have pupils play the game until the time ends.
