STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES
A. Objectives
- By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:

- Ask and answer question about one's nationality.
- Sentence Patterns: What nationality are you? − I’m ____.
- Vocabulary: nationality, Japanese, Vietnamese, English, Australian,
Malaysian, American, English

- Listening and speaking.

- Ss love their countries.
4. Forming competence
- Co- operation
- Self- study
- Using language to solve learning tasks
B. Language Focus
* Key terms
- Vocabulary: Japan, England, America, Australia, Malaysia.

The sentence patterns: Where are you from? I’m from Japan.

- Textbook: Tiếng Anh 4: Student’s book, handmade puppets, robot-teacher,
photographs of greeting.

STAGE 2: LEARNING EXPERIENCES / LEARNING PLAN
* Warm-up
- Ask sts to sing the chant “hello, friends”
- Lead in the new lesson. Activity 1: Language input (Act 1: Listen and tick.)
- Have pupils look at pictures on page 13 of the Student Book. Elicit the
identification of the characters in the pictures and the characters’ words. Tell
pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the pictures they
hear.
- Play the recording 2 times.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. T give the answer:
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
Activity 2: Controlled and guided practice
Task 2: Controlled practice (Act 2: Listen and number..)
- Have pupils look at pictures a, b, c and d on page of the Student Book.
Elicit the identification of the characters in the pictures and the characters’
words. Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and number the
pictures they hear.
- Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and number the boxes.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. T give the answer.
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
Task 3: Guided practice (Let’s write)
- Have Ss look at the sentences.
- Guide Ss to write about their names, country, nationality.
- Call on some students to report the answers to the class.
- Check and correct
Model: Where are you from? I’m from Japan
Task 4. Project
- Ask students make a card and draw a flag. Then present it to class. Wednsday, October 6th 2021

Activity1: Look, listen and repeat
- Hang the picture on the board, let sts talk about the pictures.
+ Who are they? + Where are they?
+ What are they talking about?
- Play the recording
- Teach the new vocabulary: today, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday. Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Ask sts to read in groups
- Check some groups and correct
- Emphasize sts the use of What day is it today? – It’s .
Activity 2. Point and say
- Have sts see the pictures and identify the days of the week.
- Let sts repeat the words
- Let Ss practice
- Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class.

- Guide sts how to play the game “ Slap the board ”

- Practice the dialogue again and recite the new words, and remember the
meaning of them.
- Asking Ps to focus on the structure once again.
- Retell the content of the lesson.

Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Remind students to do exercises in the workbook and to prepare for the

- Introduce the dialogue: They are going to listen to children talking about
days of the week.
- Play the CD for the ss.
- Play again, have ss listen and repeat, focus on some words.
- Present the way to ask questions about weekly activities.
- Have ss read the dialogue.
- Check some groups.
Activity2. Point and say
- Have ss look at the picture and identify the activities and days of the
week.
- Give the meaning of new words.
- Have ss practice reading new words.
- Call some ss to read.
- Do the task with a student and then have ss work in pair ask and answer
about weekly activities.
- Check ss.
Activity 3. Let’s talk
- Say: “You are going to practice answering the question “What day is it
today?
What do you do on Monday/ Tuesday...?
- Have Ss work in pairs to practice.
- Call some pairs to talk in front of the class.
- Say days of the week.
- Asking Ps to focus on the structure once again.
- Retell the content of the lesson.
Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Remind students to do exercises in the workbook and to prepare for the
next lesson (Unit 3, Lesson 3- Activities 1-3 on page21 ).
