Cấu trúc thể phủ định Cấu trúc: S + had not + V3 Viết tắt: Had not = hadn’t Ví dụ: Diana hadn’t finished her work before she came to the party. -> Diana vẫn chưa hoàn thành công việc trước khi cô ấy đến bữa tiệc. Cấu trúc thể nghi vấn Cấu trúc Yes/No question: Had (not) + S + V3 + O? Cấu trúc Wh- question: Wh- + had + S + V3 + O? Cách dùng quá khứ hoàn thành Thì quá khứ hoàn thành dùng để diễn tả 2 hành động cùng xảy ra trong quá khứ, hành động nào xảy ra trước dùng thì quá khứ hoàn thành, hành động nào xảy ra sau dùng thì quá khứ đơn.
