WARM-UP AND REVIEW:
Act. 1: Game: The best band:
Divide Ss into 4 groups (bands) and each group has 2 solo singers.
Play the music (Let’s chant, let’s sing/ p. 18) and have Ss perform the song
PRESENTATION:
Act. 1: Introduce the question-and-answer pattern:
Hold up a ruler and ask: How many rulers? à One
Hold up 4 rulers and ask: How many rulers? à One, two, three, four. Four rulers.
Do the same with other classroom objects, singular or plural
Divide the class into 2 teams, in turn, repeat the question and the answer
Act. 2: Listen and repeat the rhythm:
Play the music : The Name chant (Let‘s chant, let’s sing/ p. 17)
Have Ss repeat the names and the numbers
PRACTICE:
Act. 1: Listen and point:
a. Play the tape
Get Ss point at the cats and repeat: How many cassettes?- Three cassettes.
b. Play the tape again
Ask Ss to listen and point to the pictures
Act. 2: Ask and answer:
Have Ss to work in pairs, point to the pictures. Then ask and answer:
S1: How many (cassettes)? S2: Three cassettes.
PRODUCTION:
Act. 1: Walk and talk:
Ask Ss to walk around the classroom in pairs
When T says “Stop”, Ss stop and in turn ask and answer about the quantity of the classroom objects nearest to them
Act. 2: Workbook:
Have Ss get ready to finish the exercises at school ( or at home with weak Ss)
Complete and match:
Ss write the words of the numbers. Then match the numbers to the pictures
Count, circle and write:
