So sánh nhất với tính từ/trạng từ ngắn Công thức: S + to be + the + Adj + est + S + V + the + Adv + est + Ví dụ 1: My dad is the greatest person in the world. (Bố tôi là người vĩ đại nhất thế giới) Trong câu này, tính từ ngắn được sử dụng là “great”, ở dạng so sánh nhất được đổi thành “greatest” và thêm “the” ở trước. Ví dụ 2: Quan runs the fastest in my class. (Quân chạy nhanh nhất trong lớp tôi) Trong câu này, trạng từ ngắn “fast” được đổi thành “fastest” và thêm “the” ở trước. Dạng của tính từ/ trạng từ ngắn trong công thức so sánh nhất: - Tính từ/ trạng từ có 1 âm tiết => Thêm đuôi -est. Ví dụ: cold => coldest. - Tính từ/ trạng từ có tận cùng là e => Thêm đuôi -st. Ví dụ: cute => cutest - Tính từ/ trạng từ có 1 âm tiết, kết thúc bằng nguyên âm + phụ âm => Nhân đôi phụ âm và thêm đuôi -est. Ví dụ: hot => hottest, big => biggest. - Tính từ/ trạng từ có 2 âm tiết kết thúc bằng phụ âm y => Bỏ y và thêm -iest. Ví dụ: dry => driest, happy => happiest. 2. So sánh nhất với tính từ/ trạng từ dài Công thức: S + to be + the + most + Adj + S + V + the most + Adv + Ví dụ 1: He is the most handsome in his class. (Anh ấy là người đẹp trai nhất lớp) Trong câu này, sử dụng tính từ dài là “handsome”, ta chỉ cần thêm “the most” vào trước tính từ “handsome”. Ví dụ 2: Of all the students, Ha does the most quickly. (Trong tất cả các học sinh, Hà là người làm nhanh nhất) Trong câu này, sử dụng tính từ dài “quickly”, ta thêm “the most” vào trước tính từ “quickly” Dạng của tính từ/ trạng từ dài trong công thức so sánh nhất: Những tính từ/ trạng từ 2 âm tiết trở lên, ta thêm "the most" vào trước từ đó - DO EXERCISES.
